when my sister was a theatre major she loved - wtf is it called? theatre production? not sure?

I've seen some dance studios up in the tel building. there are really nice but some loser has already scuffed the floors.

Was your sister in the Production Practicum stream, or a theatre studies student taking production classes?

Basically, before the new theatre (which opens next year), all we had was the Joe Green Studio Theatre, and Burton. JGG is just a black box theatre, nothing special. Burton was actually built as a lecture hall, which they decided to turn into a theatre. Simply, it's not built right for a theatre... and its in poor shape after years of abuse from the theatre department.

Our new stage (the FFT) is a proper proscenium theatre with fly space (to fly sets in and out), a full lighting grid (512 dimmers), a proper theatre floor, and seats 350. When it's done, York's Theatre School will have the best theatre facilities in Canada.

As for the TEL studios... yeah, it's unfortunate. Vandalism and stupid shit happens all over campus.

Theatre studies student taking production classes.

hmmm. Sounds interesting.

That's what I love about Seneca. I love bragging the fact that my teachers are all from the industry and we won an oscar.

hehehehehe.

I'm glad to hear that York facilities are improving tremendously.

Now if we can only get that damn subway built asap!

the proposed plans are somewhere on York's website...

It won't be finished by the time I leave... and I am not looking forward to the campus being all dug up while they do it.

Very True.
I'm gone in April '07 So I doubt it will be even partially done. The campus is going to look like a whreck when they start this project. But where the hell are you going to put it? Between york lanes and the new building, like in the field? lol.
Oh boy..

Part of me is hoping for a strike to! I have so many assignments due...I would love a few extra days to work on them

Posted by Frenchie on Mar-04-2006 16:05:

No no no I dont want it to happen @ all. I mean I see why you would, to have extra days off, but all my works needs to be done in school. And because the school year is already planned out, we would still need to hand the work in as usual. This is crap

Posted by Misanthrope on Mar-05-2006 00:00:

i don't want to this strike to happen.

I don't want any days off. I paid for this shit. I obviously want the best out of it.

I don't want to continue doing school throughout may.

or whatever it is.

I don't think a lot of students realise how seriously fucked we all would be if there was a strike to occur.

Oh man i'm actually not looking foward to tomorrow. I agree, I paid for this, i want my weeks of school during when theys hould be held, I dont think i should have to come back because someone decides to be all whiney. Grrr

Posted by geroin on Mar-06-2006 02:07:

i think you guys are over reacting, if they go on strike they will most likely extend the semester by a week or w/e it is

Actually no, im not over reacting. I had plans as soon as school ened, which i now have to reconcider IF they go on strike. If they extend it by a week i wouldnt mind, it's the fact that I know have things to cancel, re-book, reschedual that upsets me.
