Been having fun chasing up old threads. He was quite happy with both Qbar and Melbourne
"Sunday night flew from Sydney to Melbourne to play the Qbar and had an excelent night as well. Luke Chable was playing his farewell party before moving to Holland in the other room so I went early to say hi and hear him play. He spun a really good set with loads of great prog house and it was also very nice to meet up with the Infusion mafia, Ryan Pappa, Steve May and loads of other Australian friends.
I went to play for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself a lot.The crowd was really cool and I could play some very deep and housey music for the first half of the set and then build up things a bit towards the end and again, I just wish I had two more hours to finish the set properly. After the weekend I spend a few days in Melbourne and loved it! The mix of different cultures makes it really interesting and it seems the quality of life is perfect. The food, the shops, and the city all looked great to me."
I found a reference to a gig he wasn't happy with in his column in RA . It was the gig before his amazing Room set. I think Renegade has referred to it as well.
"Finally from Japan flew to Australia and that was a special one for me. After almost 3 years writing this column.
I played in Melbourne last year and didn't have a really good night, so I was looking forward to making an exceptional comeback to show the crowd a good night for supporting me over this time. In Melbourne, I played at a club called Room 680 and as I entered the club things already looked much much better and it was great to see that it was already full by the time I arrived and Sean Quinn was in the middle of playing and excellent warm up set with really good prog and breaks. Top DJ!
I was meant to play for 4 hours but because of the time change that night I was extended and I enjoyed it every minute of it, and judging by the reaction, the crowd had a great time too so by the end of the night everyone seemed to be really happy. I meet loads of nice and warm people and the only low point was flying out of the city straight from the club as Sunday I was playing for the first time in Sydney and in the afternoon so needed to catch an early flight."
I think I should stop now, I'm starting to look just a tad obsessive

Small Heads up...
massive things in store for this party, (Including a nice long set for Hernan) Paulie C, Lister and I were at the meeting earlier this week and let me just say this party will incorporate the best of best in the prog scene. Massive names and crews were present at this meeting, so much so that i can safely say i looked fairly small in a room full of such profiled Melbourne proggressive icons, but at the same time knew by the reaction and enthusiasm of everyone present that this party (and its collaboration of crews) will be a renaissance to remember!
At the moment there are 100 pre-sale tickets at $20 each avaliable from r00m
In my honest opinion it will be worth every cent and more!!
And his new CD is bloody unreal!!!
