Tracks that woke up my interest for EDM were (even if it's not trance music):
- stuff by Mark'Oh (Droste hrst du mich, Love Song)
aaaaaaaaand
the still unbelievable, terrific, outstanding gorgeous, banging, absolutely hot Moby - Feeling So Real (Westbam Mix)
Real trance music got me back in 1999 when I heard Art Of Trance - Madagascar & Gouryella - Gouryella
back before i really knew what i was gettin into, i got interested in EDM from hearing robert miles on the radio (remember him anyone?) and ended up pickin up an album at the recommendation of the clerk..called Seven Ways by Paul Van Dyk...
track #6 - forbidden fruit..
the rest is history
I'd say Sash is the producer who got me into trance. I know he isn't a trance producer as such, but before I started listening to Sash I was one of these people who listened to 'everything'. His music is what got me interested in EDM. Then I fell in love with trance when I started hearing songs like 'Al Nino' and 'For An Angel' in about '97 or '98.
Svenvath -An accident in paradise
i'd have to thank underworld for making me seek out housey, technoish, and trancey music... anything 4 on the floor... as i fell in love with their tracks rez and born slippy before anything else.
in terms of discovering trance (like when i was only listening to house and stuff some 10 years ago), the first trancey track i heard was stretch n vern - go insane (moonman remix) on ministry of sound's annual III double cd. it was on the pete tong disc as far as i can remember, and yes, this was a ferry corsten remix back in 1997 or something.
Watching groove to see Digweed throw on Bedrock - Heaven Scent... The rest is years of trance love 8)
Paul van Dyk - Nature One 2004
My first set I fell in love with. I remember driving around to it and feeling a compelling need to smash the gas pedal. I was used to quasi-energetic rock at best. This shit was another world to me. Now I have 55 PvD sets a year later. It was this website that got me into trance. Thank you TA.
when i first heard Lost Tribe "Gamemaster" in 1998.
ATB.
channel X - a million colours

solar stone - seven cities, introduce by my friend
but i got really into it after a track posted on here, mark aurel - running (maybe dumonde remix)
Silvertear - So Deep (Wire Mix)
^ Jonas Steur co-produced this btw, but didn't know at the time, ofcourse
Tisto - Sparkles (Airscape Remix)
thats where i got interested in Tiesto, then i discovered ISOS & Magik series. From there on, i also began to listen other artists like Ferry & Armin, and so on.
