loved that tune, I cranked that as loud as I could in my car, driving my subs hard!

Or even further back.. Neurotrancer - Discorsi from Trancylvania CD(early 90s)
old thread but who cares......for me the first trance cd I listened to was Seb Fontaine(can't rember what Prototype #) but the 2 tracks that got me hooked were Push - Universal Nation and Good Shot - Hands Burn

Salt Tank - Eugina 2000 (Progressive Summer Mix) - I still love the track to this day.
Gouryella - Walhalla ..
the one with the vocal..
sky fills, memories were starting to shatter....people were moving together ... blah blah blah ..
the part where the bass kicks in ...
SWEET.
i know ATB isnt exactly trance trance..i dont know what genre youd put it under, im not good with those labeling things..but ya couple of those catchy tunes that now happen to b ringtones..heh
but truly paul van dyk's we're alive..that just REALLY caught my atttention..i listened to trance before that..but that song just i dont know did something to me n i became an addict...before that trance was just music, now its a HOBBY
System F - Out of the Blue
Well, I realized not too long ago that I've been into electronic since I was an early teen.... from getting the "Hackers" soundtrack etc.etc..
But tracks that REALLY actually got me into the world...
Have to say...
One of the first, and most important....
Pulp Victim - The World 99
Spin Spin Sugar - Sneaker Pimps
The Stars - Magic Dreams
Unchained Melody - Mythos and Cosmo
Yes yes, lots of old school.....
hmm... as for me it is:
Robert miles - Children
heard tat tune in a shop, shyly ask the owner wat is the name of the tune. start looking for the CD and finally found it.
Dream trance... Yeah....
My God, how could I have forgotten that one......That was a track I listened to waaay before all the others....
For me it was:
Cj Stone - Infinity
Wamdue Project - King of my castle
vengaboys - we like to party ..and.. up & down
alice deejay - better off alone and back in your life (both i still like
)
atb - 9 pm
israeli nizhonot music like barkan's and Holyman's..
yeah thats it...before that i listened a bit to metallica..but not hysterically..i didnt seriously listen to music before i gotinto "trance"...that began with commercial crap like gigi d'agostino andstuff
Robert Miles- Children. I bought my first dance CD because of this track (I can still remember the CD was called "Dance Moods" with a pair of eerie eyes on the cover; anyone knows what I'm talking about?) I thought all dance music sounded that good so I took the liberty to buy all the cheesiest dance compilations I could find, only to be disappointed purchase after purchase. Slowly by slowly, I began to realise how captivated I was only by a particular type of syth and music- that's when I started to realise that I didn't dig ALL types of dance music- I loved trance.
Sweet..
These tracks did it for me....
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar
Three Drives - Greece 2000
PVD - For an Angel
Ahh....
Scott Hardkiss performing as God Within - "Raincry" Submerged mix.
Damn....this song still does it for me. Also Young American Primitive's self-titled track. LSD - The Trip (or is it vice versa).
Okay
I am into dance music a long time.
Since 1991 or 1992 I think, house party cd's. Not that U can actually call that trance BUT, 4 the ones who know Westbam - Celebration Generation, which I think is a real Progressive track at those days (1993).
I never stopped loving that track. But its true that the real trance only kicked off for the most of us with Paul Van Dyk's - 4 An Angel.
Mid 1998 I think, And If U can call One person the Master of Trance, Van Dyk is the man...........
peace
I'd always liked really commercial trance before I turned 18. I went clubbing a couple of times after my 18th birthday but didn't become truly addicted until I heard Riva's 'Stringer' last February. I still can't get enough of that song even after a year!
A few more...
The more I think about it, there a few more standout tracks....
Mixolydian - Abduction
Natious - Amber
Shona Laing - Soviet Snow (not really trance, but it got me there)
