no, just gets on my nerves when people take oportunities for granted like this. It's not often you'll actually get something you made heard by professionals in the business. Anyways, goodluck to anyone who are participating

what genre is the remix supposed to be?

He couldn't put it in a better way. I'd stop moaning and do the remix, the biggest artists in the business had it worse in their time when they were persuing the music career. System of Down (Dawn?), the Rock Band, risked all their money when they asked for the chance to sing at the Ozzy event, and they even offer to sing for free, now you see them as one of the biggest Rock bands nowdays.
So, lets not take this as a right, but as a priviledge, this might be your opportunity for a break or not, but if you like the track just like I do, remix it for love and I'm sure you'll like the results.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to put out some great remixes. We have received entries from all over the world and from what I hear we are getting some really good stuff. I am really looking forward to sitting down with the label next week to pick out the winning remix. Thanks to JIVE Magazine, Tranceaddict and everyone involved in making this a success.

As you can see the contest is now closed and we will not be accepting any additional mixes at this time.

One mix will be chosen as "The Remix" and be slated for release along with Jonathan's original mix. Runner's up will receive formal recognition and reserve the possibilty to be released by Undermine later.

OMG Shibby...

Is it alright to share the remixes that didn't win?

Thanx for asking. This question is answered in the Remix Competition Rules, that you should have received when downloading the remix pack. But I will eleabortae, no prob. You may play your remix in a DJ set, but cannot share, post, or make available the mix, for download.
That would be copyright infringement on Jonathan Allyn, the owner of the song and parts and Undermine, the Licensor of the composition. So In short, you can share your mix with your audience audibly, but not in a way where they may download or have original files.
Have a great day.....
JS
