That could be.... it had the same sound as Around You... sounded like the part right after Jes sings "before we fade away....around you."

Overall crappy night....downstairs!

The terrace was

A. Not packed with sausages
B. Nice Breeze
C. No tooth dekay
D. Markus wasn't that exciting (might skip on Tuesday at Bed)
E. Picotto just pwned and I got a free CD

Really Really good stuff...had fun up there. Armin, Armin, Armin... I'll get pics up later.

I am one of the biggest Mauro fans in the world (he is the reason I went to Space) and left space very dissapointed, was there something wrong with the sound in the first few minutes or was I just exhausted.....I tried to get myself hyped but nothing worked......Let's see what he brings on Saturday..

Posted by teckniqueZ on Mar-24-2006 19:06:

Ya, Mauro is the shit but not ondis night.Armin sucked to...Thank god for M.S.Picotto just didnt seem to try to hard. He was much better last time he was at Space.

Matthew "Tooth" Decay.

This damn fool played an elevator set; it kept going up and down, up and down. He would play tons of monotonous, housish crap, then bring in some good prog trance, then back to the crap. He only played 2 good songs which made me come alive:

Above & beyond - Alone tonight (???? remix)
Underworld - Cowgirl

Hearing Cowgirl live was awesome. Got video of that, will upload it soon.

Sorry to hear Dekay not playing to expectations. As I was told, he doesnt like to open. He wants to be the main headlining guy. And when he is, his sets are brilliant.

Alone Tonight Remix is probably his as thats the only mix he plays from that track. Seems that and Cowgirl are the same two songs he played at Crobar, NYC a few months back.

13. Nico Parisi vs Erik Hubo - Metro
14. Signum - Harmonic
15. O'Callaghan & Kearney - Exactly

25. Some "Motorcycle - Around You" Mix

...Then about 10 or so tracks I couldn't ID

I'll fill in some of the ID's as I think of them. Overall, I thought it was a great set. Didn't really think it was as progressive as everyone else has said. However, as you can see, his playlist tonight looks like any given "A State of Trance" radio episode, which has taken a turn towards progressive trance.

9. Armin van Buuren ft. Nadia Ali - Who's Watching (Remy Mix)
(DJ Remy & Roland Klinkenberg Remix) Everyone puts just Remy, lol

Posted by miamitrance04 on Mar-26-2006 04:55:

that sucks to hear that Armin was dissapointing for all that went to see him. His set at Global Gatherings was actually pretty good best song of the night that got the crowd going was definetly
Nico Parisi vs Erik Hubo Metro that set the tone for the rest of the night.

when he spun that 'electro electro' track thats when i started telling everyone WHAT THE FUKKKKKK IS HE PLAYING

holy crap.

i almost left after that shit but i was having too much fun with Lil-B, Suzy Solar and Damon.

We started fuking around with the fuked up ppl. omg HA-larious. Brian got a good pic of Damon with that REALLY fuked up guy.

Above and Beyond - Air for Life (???? remix) <- REALLY NASTY hard banging remix. Absolutely incredible.

I think it's his own bootleg or something

I THINK I saw Phillipe but I was so aggravated by Armin I didn't say hi.

Yes, you did... and you didn't, but that's OK because we finally caught up on Friday I wish I had read this earlier though, so that I could have kicked Armin's ass when he was so ridiculously high at Crobar the next day

Yeah, this was pretty much another State of no Trance episode

He also played:

Ronski Speed with Stoneface & Terminal - Incognition
Giuseppe Ottaviani - Linking People
Thomas Bronzwaer - Shadow World

When Shadow World came on, ThomasB went in front of Armin with ClubGoddess and waved at him. When Armin finally emerged from his coma and noticed him, they shook hands. Nice

how about we get reviews from people who actually heard more than 1/6th of his set...

I stayed until he left the booth around 7:30 (although I wandered upstairs a couple of times). His opening was soooo boooorinnnnggg. OMG, even his die-hard fans were complaining to me and left early! He did play a few good tracks here and there (see above), but overall his set was disappointing, as usual these days that he doesn't play much trance anymore.

I think that the reviews were about the same for the Markus/Armin combo in San Diego last Friday.

My WMC opening night was not fun at all. In fact, it sucked pretty bad after a certain point (because security at Space is not as tight as some claim)...

Posted by TigerClaw on Mar-26-2006 11:15:

Can someone post a rundown of Markus's tracklist, He played some new tunes and some old ones we all heard before.

Yes it is. I found out from Art that it's on Markus' myspace page. VERY impressive track, I must say again.

Armin was high? Gee I wonder why that was?

And Friday was a good time! Sorry if I was a little high strung. I took a major whack on my snowboard.
