I'm sorry, but the packaged stuff doesn't even come close to the stuff you get at the restaurant.

I looove the sauce too. I always have to ask for 2 because I drench everything in it. They should have some sort of Swiss Chalet drink product like a Caeser except with Swiss Chalet sauce, haha.

It's good, and you've been able to buy this stuff at Zehrs/Loblaws/Fortino's for years now. Graham, it's the exact same mix they use at the restaurants

I refuse to believe this. Unless I'm doing something horribly wrong (which would be pretty hard considering all you really do is add water), it does not taste the same.

you speak the truth.

i had a q-chicken dinner lastnight, and actually went through two sauces, AND half of my gf's as well.... christ, anything dipped in that shit is amazing.

I go by what my friend's sister who works at the local Swiss Chalet here tells me.

thats like saying tim hortons coffee is the same when you brew it at home.

not even close!

Posted by AdReNaLiNa on Mar-27-2006 18:01:

^^ exactly!
I swear they must add something to that coffee

i have a different theory.

its something in the cups..... when the hot beverage is poured into the tim horton cup, it releases a chemical found embedded in the materials of the inside of the cup.

i have yet to prove this, but if someone did a chemical breakdown, im sure they would find something..... THEY MUST!

Posted by VERTiG0 on Mar-27-2006 18:13:

It's heroin.

Perhaps the glue that binds the cup?

Haha, so maybe they should start selling the paper cups in supermarkets too!
Easy to check this theory... just order to stay-in next time

Has to be the cups.... if you get it in a mug at the store it's not the same.

This sauce is AMAZING I love it. My uncle loves it so much he used to drink it. He moved to California quite a number of years ago and he sometimes has us send him the packages that you can make at home! Haha

Have any of you tried the infamous Tunnel BBQ sauce? It's this amazing restaurant in Windsor known for their ribs and their sauce...SOOO good! I know you can buy it at Zehrs and stuff now, at least in Windsor. And I KNOW Josh has some of it up in Toronto.
Who's tried it?
