I like alot of those tracks on their own but an entire CD of only that, I would never listen to.

I also believe a good set should build, and playing aftermath two tracks in just shatters any hope of that. Aftermath sounds best when you make people wait for it, when you drop it at an unexpected moment, when you build up to it.

I mean thats just my opinion.

Its a compilation bucko not a live set, do you understand there is a difference ?

Why should there be. You saying its allowed to have less artistic merit because its a compilation?

Am I the only one who finds Steve Angello's stuff quite bland? To the point that it actually gets boring.

No.

A LOT of us find it quite boring after a while.

ya and then all of you guys will be all over his nuts again when he releases something new.

it happens all the time.

Do you even know what the fuck kind of music I spin? I haven't charted anything Angello has done since the ToolBox EP.

Id rather just play stuff from that and his EP. Best 6 or 7 tunes he's made.

I wasn't talking about YOU specifically, but kudos to you for staying ahead of the scene so much

Is that sarcasm?

I honestly just don't feel like mking room for Swedish House Mafia (And close friends)'s tunes in my sets anymore. Sure, I'll drop Tribal Inc. when it fits, but 9/10 releases from them right now seem to be such blatant cheese. Blatant cheese can be fun- But come on!

Big exception goes to:

Eric Prydz.

He is the smartest up and coming guy in dance music right now. Sure, he's been releasing stuff under various aliases for years now, but now that he has "struck it big" with a real pop hit, he is still making tunes under those other aliases and trying keeping everybody happy.

His remixes aren't poppy, and they're always under the Eric Prydz guise. I whole-heartedly agree with you though. He's the most individual of all the Mafia, not to mention house in general

Actually, his remixes under Eric Prydz are poppy. Doesn't mean I don't like some of them.

To name a few:

Lola's Theme
Voices
Rocker
Sex & Sun

Posted by Ry Diggs on Apr-02-2006 07:07:

you haven't heard the Eric Prydz remix of "A Bit Patchy" yet then

What exactly is your point?

Posted by Renzo on Apr-02-2006 13:45:

I think we can all agree the concensus here is that techno is just better than trance or house.

Thanks for your time. Refreshments are in the lobby.
