well the way they tried to explain it was that basically the earth balances itself out. there might be a change in climate, but it's bound to respond and correct the problem...sure the change won't be immediate, but it's not like the world will come to an end because of global warming...

the earth did balance itself, but that was before the humans came. Sure its not the end of the world; the end of the world is very relative. Even if humanity dies out the earth can still exist until its destroyed by another heavenly body

Maybe global warming is a hoax and maybe the earth will balance itself out but pollution as a whole has many negative long term effects already.

One major issue today in children born in recent years is allergies and that is not bound to get any better. This is mostly due to high pollution.

There are many other cases to prove that things just aren't going right and there are already too many things happening to realize we as humans are doing something wrong. Ignorant these facts would be outright ignorance.
