Well, no big loss here...Avalon NYC isn't anything great to visit. I've never ever heard of anyone giving the place a great review

Anyway, if ur still coming this weekend u should def try hitting up the other gigs/venues listed for some quality talent (Pacha, Crobar, Cielo, Sully).

Hmm i wonder if all shows 21+ this weekend?

hmm thats VERY true -- that was certainly a great show, but then again that was FERRY. He always makes the show worth going to. I made sure to stay on the balcony the whole night. Neways I never *ever* had any positive things to say about Avalon itself. Always disliked the regular crowds, the themes they had during regular nights and the ppl who usually populate the mainfloor. Kinda grimey overall IMO. It was only the NYTAs that came that made my night fun. I *always* rather see djs play at other venues. Actually I have not been back to Avalon since mid-last year since they stopped bringing in the DJs that I want to see.

I live in Philly and you won't catch me at that one.

I will be there! Thanks for the tip. Is it true they don't let single guys in? only if there's girl(s) with you.

No. I used to go by myself before my girlfriend and lots of our friends still do go by themselves.

Just don't look sloppy is the best advice, and don't show up at like 3 am when it's already crowded

Yeah, crowd there simply SUCK! And it wouldn't have been much cleaner and better place without those "K"-Unit freaks that are on the main floor=) But overall I think that exterior and interior of this club is pretty cool! And I hope in the future they will start bringing some talents (DJ Eco, no offence to you=) ) back and start bringing better crowd, and that place will be very chill! But that's just HOPEs =)

in terms of interior i like Pacha and Crobar much better, for sure. I haven't been to Cielo yet but i heard its great, and the sound system def makes a difference to where I go.

But yeah believe me, no one would be happier to see a revamped Avalon more than I would. I don't even know why they stopped bringing in DJs mid last year.

and if they do reopen that is exactly what Avalon's plan is. Stay tuned for Avalon's return from the dead. They have some absolutely amazing djs lined up for the Spring and Summer. Avalon as a venue is amazing...the decor, the hidden hallways and dark corners. They have just been wasting the space the past year or so though.
