I hate to say it, since this all started by Brian wanting to go to Yama, but maybe we should go somewhere else that'll hold 6 easier (or at least have a back-up plan)
I actually found the name of a place I was to when I first moved to the city that I liked that's on 4th St. between 1st and 2nd. It's called Jeollado (citysearch - http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/11274865). When I was there before, it was set up very cafeteria-like, so it'd have no problems seating all of us. If Yama doesn't work out because of group size, maybe we can try that if people are interested.
yama has big slices of fish. like... twice the length of the rice it's being laid on
how about PM's?
j/k...wish i could join
have fun

I'm open and love to explore new places to dine at! toro to die 4 |

OMG Risk takes FOREVER to playyyyy but yeah its interesting
and oh to bring it back on topic, I was at St. Marks today and passed by the lil Japanese mart on the block. 'Mochi balls' crossed my mind (cuz of THIS thread!!) but I didnt go in. Went to Sushi Park to eat, 50% off weeknights. Wasn't too bad at all...
Jeollado sounds great!! Especially for a group...

| Originally posted by Groundhog Boy I used to play Risk a lot when I was younger. We went to get it at Toys R Us a few weekends ago, but the woman said they hadn't received a shipment in like 2 months, so we got Axis & Allies, which I'd never played, instead. That didn't go so well, as Barosoap and I didn't have the patience to learn that complex of a new game. So, I ordered Risk online and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow if all things go well. |
LGA and houston @ 630, i'll be there...
sorry guys, can't make it at that time.. coming from jersey it's a suicide mission.

| Originally posted by barosoap We started playing A&A when I was coming down with the flu that took me out of work for 2 days. I was basicially learning from scratch since I'd never played any games like that before, and it only made my headache worse lol 2 hours to just setup?!? Ridiculous! Anyway, I say meet up at Yama-LGA around 6:30. If that doesn't work out Jeollado seems ok with everyone. Any objections or other suggestions? |
