How depressing. Where I'm at in the states everything closes down at 2am on the dot, with pretty much no exceptions. there is one venue (read: warehouse) that does events once every few months that go till 6am, but it got busted last week.....so looks like that won't be happening anymore.

but back on topic. i plan on studying in amsterdam for a semester next year. i really need to get out of the midwest and i htink i'd be able to handle myself in that environment....tho we'll see.

my first choice was to move to egypt as i'm completely fascinated by the culture and history there, but i just can't get myself to pull the trigger on it. i used to tear into anyone who said that it wouldnt be safe but with each passing day i start to buy into that more and more. also if you wear earrings they assume your gay according to the little travellers guide i read.....not good for me.

i've been thinking about leaving the country for a bit w/in a couple of years. most likley to go chill in argentina. if i cross the atlantic, it will probably be to go to beirut, and northern africa. at least my lebanese, and french are good enough to help me blend right in.

i don't mind visiting europe, but i sure as hell don't want to live there. not even in italy dispite the fact that i qualify for citizenship. that place is just way too white for me ;p

Hey nice one Tony, I think you will like England in alot of ways, but prepare to hate alot of shit as well, and if you end up staying in london, take lots of money, I mean LOTS and also get a good paying job there, otherwise you'll have a hard time trying to have a good time there, if you travel around, hit up Plymouth down in the south west, its the last place I lived before moving here, its got a different kind of feeling when your clubbing there, just something about it.

I'll be taking off this year to Germany, dunno how long I'll be going for but can't wait, I'm still thinking about going in July for Love Parade and the World Cup.

OK i re-read what you said, but im not sure what your point was? you're complaining about english licencing laws saying things have to shut at 3, but then say that clubs can stay open til gone 6 as long as they have a licence.

Im sure what youre complaining about? the fact that clubs have to obtain licences in the first place?

And what would you class as a cheesy club night then? I used to go to Peach at the Camden Palace, i certainly wouldnt call that cheesy!

Bst of luck with the move. WOuld love to geto ut and move somewhere for a year, not because i hate Ireland, but just to get away and experience living in a different culture. Do it some day!


Ireland isnt that bad a place. It is expensive, but we are also very well paid. Chances the minimum wage we have is one of the highest in europe. The only really shit thing about Dublin is the licensing laws. CLubs close at about 2:30am. Load of cock. However, with summer coming the outdoor raves will be kicking off so its not all bad!

SOME CLUBS OPEN TILL 6AM,NOT ALL. I WAS NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT ANYTHING, I WAS SAYING MOVE TO SCOTLAND.

A CHEESY CLUB NIGHT IS STUFF I HERE ONT HE RADIO...WHY GO TO A CLUB TO HEAR MUSIC U HEAR ON THE RADIO.
