thanx for the clip i think i saw almost all clips by watching the entire sony E3 press conference where they revealed all this info and talked for like 2 hours but i only saw it in a lower quality live stream so couldn't see the games so well.

Should be by the 12th. You can check on IGN.com for more info I guess.

I haven't been excited about a FF game since X to be honest. And before that, VIII. So FFXIII should be a good one although it's not turned based. ;-)

i'll admit the graphics to FFXIII look absolutely amazing but even with that in mind i feel that again they drifted away from the rpg aspect from what the true FF series are really about. r u serious FFX though? i thought that game was weak compared to FF8, in all honesty thought Final Fantasy 7 was the best game i ever played on Playstation, the plot, story line, music was amazing along with the graphics at that time.

It takes a real man to admit he enjoyed playing x-2.

^^^ Yeah, it really does

I'm really crossing my fingers for the FF 7 remake. I wish they hadn't moved so far away from the turn based gameplay of that game. There was nothing wrong with turned based play. I'd like to say that that's what makes RPGs RPGs. If I wanted an adventure game I'd buy something else. FF-X was okay but the lead character was way too bitchy. Always whining. In 7 and 8 the protagonists were quiet, indifferent, and kept to themselves. I don't really have anything to say about X-2 lol.

I'm glad they finally just made the main character a female instead of an androgenous effeminate guy. I'd be interested to know how much online play will cost after the initial years.

X was definitely the best looking in the series. I dunno, before playing it I felt excited about it. I agree about VII. The best for me

Yes I did! Thanks for the reminder, Mike . I wanted to show someone else about that, actually.

It's a bit surprising since the info provided in that video was fairly new to me. It explains why I enjoy MJ's and Sonic's music, though.

I don't think the atmosphere of the game can be emulated into something better than what FFVII is, unfortunately.

Hopefully some good writers will show up on the scene. Otherwise, don't expect much.

i highly doubt this as

1. hironobu sakaguchi (director of ff7)
2. nobuo uematsu (music composer of ff7)

are both not working for square. they are now working on a new xbox 360game (mistwalker something).

the above duo were so critical for the success of the FF franchise. Uematsu has composes some of the most memorable compositions ever in gaming history. He even performs orchestral shows of his FF music.

Sakaguchi is revered for emotionally connecting his audience to his game. i remember the theme for ff7/aeris was a result of his ponderings of life and the afterlife. without such a forceful leader i am wondering how generic ff12 and ff13 will become...

Damn. I was unaware of those changes. That kinda ... really sucks. Maybe they just got tired of it. That makes me less inclined to purchase 13. I'm still crossing my fingers for 7 though. I doubt they'd pass that up. So much money to be made.
