there is a simple rule u have to follow next time.
in case u show up at the park after 5 and there's noone at the office to help you, u have to get to the office at 8am in the morning!

Luckily, you ended up getting a parking ticket. The parks management could also give your campsite away to smn else!

always read rules and regulations in order to make ur stay more pleasant.

if anyone is interested in receiving ontario parks guide with genereal info and regulations, feel free to pm me your mailing address. A copy of the Official Road map will be included

i was also at the Elora Quarry last weekend and it was great to go swimming there. i don't know about the liquor laws but it seemed like everyone there was drinking including me!

if anything, i'd like to go back to the Bruce Peninsula. on the drive up there there are quite a few provincial parks right along the shores of lake huron and they are super nice! on the other hand i would also like to check out algonquin park. i was there in the winter and had a fantastic time. just BEAUTIFUL!!!

if we want to organize a TA camping trip, count me in!

Elora Quarry

unfortunately i don't have pics of Tobermory b/c when we got there it was pouring rain. but i'm going back for another road trip in august to attend a wedding on Manitoulin Island so we'll we passing through Tobermory again to catch the ferry over there. really looking forward to it b/c we didn't have nearly enough time to check out this incredibly gorgeous area.

really hoping to check this out sometime this summer!

beautiful pics. Silke!

lol, it would have been hilarious to see them try and move me in the morning when i had already paid for and reserved the site in advance.

i think they should look into changing that rule.
because of my work schedule the only time i could arrive was 2am , how could they expect me to wake up at 7:30 to get to the gates after a heavy night of camping drinking?? id still be too drunk to drive.

aaaah you don't have a choice! you're definitely already part of the cargo!

Sandbanks, Killbear and Tobermory definitly top my list. Sandbanks for the chilling beach atmosphere and the awesome sand dunes. Killbear and Tobermory are both awesome for cliff jumping. Ahhh I'm packing right now.

I plan on doing some outdoorsy stuff up @ Fanshawe this summer, but I really hope I make it out campin' a few more times - I'm especially liking the sounds of this 'Bon Echo' business.

its pretty isnt it!! if u get there on a clear night going up to the peak to watch the sunset is out of this world.

also theres some kick ass rockclimbing there if u've got the gear and experience...

Posted by Jer on Jun-06-2006 22:59:

Yay on sunsets

Nay on dangling from a cliffside

its gorgous. i think last year it was rated one of the best places to camp in canada.
its nice to have ur own space when ur camping.
and u can drink as long as ur on ur own lot, unlike algonquin where im pretty sure u cant drink at all.
the only thing is u have to make reservations quite a bit ahead of time cuz it books up quick

The Pinery
Tobermory (totally beautiful there)
Long Point I'm sure would be good (never camped there)

I'm never going back there. Stupid fucktard night supervisor SOB! The no alcohol policy didn't go over well. We had to leave an hour after we got there.
