Poor Bush probably read that letter and had to get his dog to explain to him what it all meant

That's funny because the U.S. keeps pointing Iran to the U.N. if they want to talk...

This is hardly a U.S. / Iran thing only...

I have to say that the ruthless dictator bit was a bit of a stretch, I apologize for that. However I do see him as more of a dictator than your average democratic (or whatever you want to call it) president. Look at my response to TRANCEEE's questioning my comment to understand what I've said; that was poorly phrased. I can't possibly see anyone who refuses to give the people the liberty of voting as anything but a dictator.

just finished watching the 9/11 eyewitness doc. i can see clearly why "they" tried to pull this video from the public and even tried offering the owner half a million dollars for it before hand.

this doc only deals with facts, it is a must see.

Anybody have a link for those of us who don't use torrents?

The dude is a master strategist, as much as one can be in this U.S. dominated world. You even concede that it's a "smarter way of thinking" so your opinion of him is all over the map. Not very consistent.

Yeah. I realize he's not directly a dictator but blocking out any options of voting for other leaders and basically public 'rigging' of the government pretty much qualifies you for dictatorship, wouldn't you agree?

I totally disagree on the grounds that you have no valid source for what you consider fact. You are basing your argument on the same sort of "conspiracy crap" that you are criticizing others for in this thread.

Furthermore, your following quote:

Makes me wonder who the fuck you think you are to know all the accurate facts about a country you've never read up on.

I don't know all the accurate facts on the country - but to say I've never read up on it is completely false. I'd go on a giant hunt to find you sources for my info which I'd read ages ago but atm I'm somewhat tied up in procrastination - I'll do so once I'm done my work if you like (might be later in the week).

And let's not forget the vigilantes of Ansar-e-hezbollah, who go around beating up students and immodestly-attired women.

Don't let Iran's "president" fool you with skillfully crafted propaganda.

Iran has a constitutional theocracy, and is not a democracy by any intentional definition. The whole idea of democracy is being able to choose the laws you live under, representative democracy is about choosing the people that will write the laws you want to live under and Iran doesn't offer anything like that -- you vote for radical Islamicist A or radical Islamicist B because those are the choices the mullahs give you.

Of the +1000 nominees for President, +900 were prevented from running by the ruling theocrats. The same thing happens with their legislature every time they have an "election" for those seats too. They also regularly veto laws that contradict Islamicist values, while directly authoring the others.

Bravo sir.

And I shake my head at how many people buy into this shitpump's propaganda.

OMG are you for real?!

Dude, no matter what you say on this forum, it's always a pleasure to meet someone in person and party it up with you no matter what your beliefs are...okay, maybe except for LKD but srsly, you present yourself utterly retardedly. yes, I know "retardedly" isn't a word, but Shade has just defined it

I don't see what's retarded in what I've said - I'm doing school work and have been procrastinating it forever. I'm amused by the fact that I'm "tied up in my own procrastination" - so sorry for not going out of my way to explain myself?

Posted by pyro264jb on May-15-2006 05:53:

Just do a search on the 12th imam. Youll see how deranged the Iranian leader really is.

Note- I dont have a problem with his beliefs. I do however have a problem with how he plans to go about realizing these beliefs.

The leader of Iran believes that the 12th imam is in a well. He believes that the only way the 12th imam will come out of this well is when Iran causes great destruction and bloodshed by killing the Jews and destroying Israel.

http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/05/13/143512.php

The issue is deffintly not black and white. As with all in the world there are wrongs being done on both side. Its just a matter of which wrongs are worse then others in my mind.

keep defending a person that called the holocaust a myth and is enriching uranium. and before you start freaking out and crying about how Iranians deserve nuclear power, notice I didn't say they didn't just that this freak doesn't.

I love how narrow-minded some people can be!!! LOL!!!!

Just by refuting other people's garbage that they post as fact you get accused that you agree with stupid things that the individual in question said.

Why do people feel the need to do that? LOL that's like telling some patriotic American that they support drugs because Bush smoked pot at one point in his life

And to address the "holocaust a myth" issue, as long as the ENTIRE world knows that the Holocaust happened who cares what this guy's opinions are in that regard?!?!?! Get over that statement and look at the BIGGER PICTURE for God's sake, and that is that Bush has met a worthy opponent whose foreign policy has logical, calculated and LEGAL rationale!!!!

Forget all the bullshit, biased media rhetoric and look at the facts of what this leader has actually DONE with Iran's resources (and no, I'm not just talking about nuclear science). Then let's have an informed debate.
