Hey I have to say...at least Howard Dean had the balls to say the truth most of the time.

The media hated him though so thats why he lost. That and a bad AV setup on a campaign stop (see AV really matters

Dont start me on libertarians, anyone who thinks business can be left to its own devices and not corrupt bad if not worse then a government has never read about Standard Oil, the banks before the great depression of 1929, Microsoft, IBM, Enron etc

For those of you who think there the democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin, I really hope you take the time to examine the differences in the parties.

Are they similar, do they both play the money game, absolutely, are they both run by primarly rich people. Yes. But to say they are the same, comes off as silly.

Does it really matter in the long term? I dont know, no one wants to face up to the fact that we run on a credit card ecomony (i think the average person has 20,000 in debt in America) which at some point has to be adjusted for, and soon, it just cant continue especially with the rise of china and the rerise of europe.

Do you really think Oil prices will go back down anytime soon? Our economy is going to have to go through major restucturing or risk major problems.

Its not going to be fun, but I damn straight want someone in the White House whose not a fundementalist. I want someone who doesnt believe in Armeggadon and thinks with more then his gut. I would have voted for my dog over Bush. I didnt want John Kerry but I was damn sure going to make sure I did everything I could to get him to win, because these guys are just fucking insane, and now we are all paying the price (some more then others)

Sorry Im rambling but I wish people (especially young people) would take some time to learn about this stuff, its damn important.

Agreed. In my opinion libertarians have there heads in the clouds. Supply and demand do not always work, anyone who has taken any real economics class should have been taught, and shown examples. However, government regulation makes things a lot worse in some cases, specially with subsidies, and price floors/ceilings etc... A lot of times the well intended legislature ends up doing more harm than good.

Heaven forbid that Hilary ever gets in. The media portrays her as a total pyscho, and .... I believe it.

thats the real problem. you know also there lies an inherent assumtion that there is a conspiracy behind the voting system. the voting system also has the inherent thought that everyone is too dumb to elect their president. i do somewhat agree but at the same time there is no real education about the political parties and candidates. all that most people know (at least the people that are around the same age as me) are taught is what they learn in their us history and government and econ classes in high school. none of those classes every really go far enough in depth of the way that our government runs.

and when it comes to govrnment regulation.....we need a transparnt government not a fucking communist government. we dont want socialism nor do we want communism. we want a free market economy so that we can do what we wish within reason. and they need a fucking common sense clause in the constitution...so that companies and the government can be relieved of stupid people doing wrong and suing people/companies/the government/etc so that our economy can flourish. down with the lawsuits for spilling hot coffee on themselves and all it does socially is require a warning label for stupid people. i could keep going but i think i am going to stop there!
