One fucking hour of the 4 hour set was spent in line. If they don't have enough porta potties @ Armin or PvD, I'm boycotting any outdoor Made Event in the future, simply because not having enough facilities is absurd.

Yeah I remember easily spending that much time if not even more on the bathroom line at SummerStage. I tried to hold it in as much as possible and sweat most oof the fluids out of my system.

Yeah they never have enough porto-potties. It makes the bathroom experience very annoying.

haha...EVERYONE was complaining about those damn lines

yeah they really sucked bad

what we did was plan ahead of time when we "thought" we would have to go to the bathroom. if we thought an hour from then we would have to go we would start heading to the pottie. really retarded but it seemed to work.

in Made's defense it is impossible to know how many portopotties to use. what really takes too much time is the people doing "other activities" in them. thats whats slows everything down.

I completely disagree with this. There are a certain number of tickets sold and it's not like this was their first attempt at an outdoor event there. They should know better.

What "other activities" are you talking about? I mean, no one goes to the bathroom to do drugs at outdoor events and I don't recall seeing pairs of people coming out when i was waiting.

what "other activities" ????? reading magazines for 2 hrs while dropping the bomb??

everyone was in and out in a minute or so, but there were 5000 people in 16 bathrooms(+- a couple), you do the math, if all them wanted to go to the bathroom, they wouldnt be able to in 4 hrs

Welp, this will be a Rain or Shine event.

Posted by Wazup8012 on Jun-01-2006 20:18:

Wow you guys are sooo un aware of what is going on around you. More than a few times I saw pairs of people going in and out of the portapotties. I saw guys and gals and pairs of the same sex going in and out all the time. Now those things are sooo small there is no way in hell they are both going to the bathroom but taking turns.

They are doing drugs. What they are doing I don't know and don't frankly care, but it is going on. You may just be unaware, or not have seen it, but it is going on.

Groundhog Boy - I know you and know you know what I am talking about. I think you just didn't see it as much. I was always dancing by the entrance due to there being more room to dance. Since I was also next to them I was much more aware than others.

Boian - I dono't know you from a hole in the wall, but you made it sound like you didn't know this shit happened. Well... most of us are sober when we go out, but a lot of people do drugs in this scene. It happens all the time, everywhere, and probably right next to you. Stop acting so innocent this is a corrupt world we live in with sinners at the top. Get used to it.

Ok enough out of me.

That's not true actually. I was bitching in line about everyone taking too long and how guys should be going in pairs, because there's the urinal and the toilet in those. Some other guy agreed and we split a port-a-pottie. We were both done quick and it was no more uncomfortable than using a trough or closely placed urinals

all this sounds like PVD @ the roxy in november... i've never been in a longer line to take a fuckin shit in my life!!!

ps... i saw armin the other night @ gatecrasher one (AMAZING FUCKIN VENUE I MIGHT ADD), and @ the end i was with some people who are regulars there and always wait outside the dj booth to get pictures taken with the dj's. b4 armin's set, above and beyond were on, when they came out they were freakin nice as could be, taking pictures with everyone, making small talk... they basically hung out for a good 15, 20 minutes. armin on the other hand, walks out of the dj booth, sees everyone, rolls his eyes, keeps walking through the people, only stops next to someone to get in their pic for about half a second (half the people didn't even get their pics to come out cause he wouldn't stand still long enough for the person to fucking take it!!!). i realize perhaps you might want to go chill out after a long set (even though it was only like 3 hours or so...) but none the less, you could at least take the time to appreciate the fans that without make him nothing, ya??? i dunno, that's just me, without people like us he certainly wouldn't have a career that gives him ability to tour the world over. you don't need to give everyone a massage and autograph and everything, but at least don't be a nasty fucking cock to the people who make you what you are. i will see you all on the 7th

you're such a fuckin baby, bitching all the time...

do you really think every event is suppose to go as smooth as you want it? I don't think so. How about you stay the fuck home, turn on Armin's new ASOT cd, put about 1203981023 gallons of water in front of you and use the bathroom how ever often you please.

NO! His new ASOT cd is nothing what he plays live. I wish people would just realise his mix cd's do him no justice as a live dj.

I wouldn't do that because the new ASOT CD doesn't interest me. I'm going to this mostly because of the venue.

Sorry to be such a baby. Now can you try to stop being such a dick? I don't think it's that unreasonable to complain about waiting in line for AN HOUR for the bathroom at a 4 hour event that I paid good money to attend.

He has played and will continue to play these songs that are off of ASOT 2006

Sunlounger - White Sand
Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms (club mix and recently a new mix)
DJ Shah - Beautiful
Arksun - Arisen (has been opening with this a lot)
Kyau vs. Albert - Walk Down
Kuffdam & Plant Dream Makers
Kyau vs. Albert - Kiksu

I don't think you get DOOMBOT's point, which is one of the areas that I agree with him most about Armin. His CDs suck, live he's better.

You don't seem to understand that playing the same tracks doesn't equal the same sets.

I'm sorry for being blunt but just seems like you're never satisfied with any party.

Are you a sports fan? ever attend a sporting event? You cannot tell you're not prepared to wait in line to get in, purchase food and drinks and worst of all, the lines for the bathroom? If mass amounts of people congregate to any large event, you're going to run into bottlenecks. There is no such thing as a "smooth, trouble-free" event.

I'm not really a sports fan, but I've attended baseball, hockey, and basketball games in the past year. I have never waited even close to that long for anything (bathroom, drinks, food). I have also attended numerous concerts at huge venues and never waited that long, whether it's for food, drinks, or bathrooms. They didn't seem to have any problem serving drinks fast enough at PvD last year, so if they could sort out getting the liquid in me, they should be able to make it possible to get it out within a reasonable time. 10-15 minutes is one thing, an hour is another.

As for me never being satisfied, you obviously caught the wrong posts. Maybe I bitch more about the DJs that you like (Armin, Tiesto, etc.) and you ignore my posts for parties that I attend and enjoy more, but I'm quite vocal in both my criticisms and praise of events. In fact, I've cut back on posting reviews of events that I don't really enjoy, unless something really pisses me off. Not every review is supposed to be a big praise-fest, in case you weren't aware, and if something detracted from a party, I'm more than willing to voice my opinion. Who knows, someone might see it and help fix it for the next time, especially considering Made Events posts on this board.

The bathroom lines at PvD SummerStage were atrocious. Luckily, I didn't have to go the entire 4 hours. I've been to several festivals in Europe (Nature One, Dance Valley, Awakenings, Love Parade, etc.) with thousands more people in attendance, and the bathroom lines are never close to an hour. They are all prepared with plenty of facilities. Summerstage is going to be in it's 4th year. You'd think they'd have a better idea of how many ppl will be there especially when advance tickets are usually sold out.

Yup. My bad I am wrong. I totally forgot about the new urinals in them. I was simplpy thinking about the older models. Thanks for the correction.

ludawg23, r u the big man, who doesnt have to pee and never complains???
I d rather listen to Armins CD, than kiss pvd's ass. I dont get what Armin and his cd had to do with the lines for bathrooms. Why tf do u read topics about armin anyway, I dont read topics that i dont care about. and fcourse people will complain, because if they dont, next same shit will happen. And events should run smothly, yes, I dont see why pvd in central park is so big of an event for you(maybe because it says so on the flyer). I believe armin is promoting his 2006 CD, so i dont see how he would be able to do it without spinning those tracks, maybe you should create his playlist. I thought you were never complaining, but it seems like u r the crying unsatisfied baby.
I really hope that you w8 an hour to pee next time u go to an event that is 4 hours and 50$.

A little harsh there bro(assuming you are a male). Looks as though you are taking too much of what is written on this board personally. He was merely speaking his mind. No need to attack him personally for voicing his opinion.

In regards to the tracks that are being played... I have to say that it is totally different in person. He may play the same tracks as on his CD, but the flow and feeling behind the spinning is totally different. He is playing to a live crowd. They(DJ's) always play better and with more emotion when they are playing live. The crowd gets them bumping and hyped to play better. It will always be this way for all time.

Also, he will be playing those tracks in a different order with different tracks before and afterwards. This in itself will cause everything to be different. The flow will be different, as well will be the way he tweaks the highs, mids and lows during the set and each track that he is playing. His emotional state will be different then when he was recording his CD, and this will cause him to tweak everything as if he was playing the tracks for the first time.

PHEW that was a lot of technobable!
