Pot will never be allowed in clubs.

Perhaps in the past if it were legalized, but in this era of social engineering bans it will never happen.

And yes, you can thank the smoking law for that.

yea it will man. society as a whole is getting more and more liberal. im not saying 2 or 3 years. im saying 15! by then there will be endless studies as to the affects of weed on lungs and it will be viewd the same as insense and will be allowed any place an owner lets it. you will see

loca as for clubs in holland not allowing weed. i dont know the law exaclty but when i was there i just assumed it was allowed since i was in fuking weedland so i sparked in every club i went to. guess how many times a bouncer asked me to stop? can u guess? i think u can. and i was smoking non-discreetly right by dj booths, bathrooms, u name it.

Society is becoming more and more liberal minded?

ARE YOU CRAZY????

The only people who have more rights are special interests. As for common everyday people, we are becoming more conservative than ever.

You honestly think that the same people who advocated a smoking ban are going to turn around and allow pot smoking instead?

I think some people need to take lessons in human nature.

The Precidents have been set. the "dont bother me with your (insert action here)" and "Why should i be forced to deal with your (insert action here)" mentality has ruled the day

You have been fooled if you think the smoking bans were all about "preventing cancer".

Most people i hear of wanted the ban because they didnt want to "put up with other people's smoke". It has nothing to do with cancer. Besides, just look at our repressive liquor laws. Allow people to smoke pot in your club and then they drive home high and suddenly there are lawsuits everywhere.

It will never happen here. Not unless there is a HUGE shift in thinking and people become more tolerant of the action of others. From where im standing, tolerence is NOT a canadian trait

it might not be about preventing cancer, but if cancer wasn't at the centre of all this, then theres no way the ban would have happened. there would have been no 'scapegoat' if you wanna call it that. although personaly, i dont think u can call it that.

again insense doesnt seem to bother ppl and neither will pot in 15 years, well xcept for loca, but i think by then there will be a pill or device that helps her not smell it as for contact highs, clubs are generaly big enough to not be hot boxed, if not im sure ventelation will be advanced as well. as for driving high, cops will be able to test for it and there will be laws. altho, personaly, i drive safer when high

Really? then explain all the other bans and lifestyle restrictions out there. Can you honestly fool yourself into thinking that in our present day society's thinking that pot is going to be tolerated? This is a country that is even considering laws to ban cell phones in certain places because other people cant stand hearing people talk!!

People like you should be fighting against these bans and restrictions even if it doesnt affect you directly because if you want pot to be accepted, then society's attitude about tolerating others' actions must be changed.

If you want someone to tolerate you, then you must also tolerate them. And this is the idea that seems to be lost with most canadians.
