I bet on Carolina for game 7 knew they'd prevail just cuz of the problems Buffalo was facing in the lineup and the fact that Carolina has the team for Stanley Cup this year. They have the best mix of players and a great group of guys. When you have guys like Doug Weight playing on a third line, you know you've got depth. Players such as Brett Hedican has been to the finals 3 times so they know what it takes to get there. Only concern was Cam Ward/Martin Gerber but thus far Ward has been rock solid in goal.

Buffalo still has an amazing team and prolly next year they'll make it farther than Carolina will. Miller is gonna be dynamite next year and most of their players are coming back for another season, Ruff is a good coach (even though I hate him!) and most of these players are still young. for the new nhl it suits a team like buffalo a lot more.

Carolina/Edmonton - Hurricanes in 7 on home ice!

Connolly was cleared to play the day after he took the hit from Schafer. I wish I did not hear that.

Afinogenov and Kotalik were just not the same without him.

the guy has amazing talent, probably one of the fastest players in the nhl with the puck, yet finishing wise, doesn't know where the net is and can't keep his head up when he's shooting.
