I can't believe you're talking about INTEGRATION like Canada is the fucking BORG or something. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want as long as it is within the limits prescribed by law. And the Charter can also be revoked in some cases where the harm caused by the action is proportionally higher than the benefit protected by the Charter.

Our legal system is so fucking amazing that you have to study the Supreme Court process and important cases like pornography and euthanasia to realize how well it protects the public.

I'm not talking about the stupid government politics that Jayx1 complains about, but the justice system and Charter that takes care of the law.

If people want to hire that lady because of her WORK ETHIC in some textile industry or whatever the fuck, because she's willing to work for low wages, ALL THE BETTER FOR THE ECONOMY.

And to John's point, if we should remain in other countries defending democracy in spite of a few extremist assholes, then we should continue defending our Charter and freedom in spite of those SAME ASSHOLES.

At Bombardier these people have requested rooms to have their 5 prayers a day crap, in their home countries NO ONE HAS THAT BENEFIT! Companies and govts in muslim countries don't even have special treatment for those who want to pray since you can do your five prayers at once. Same goes for sikhs and their daggers, hassidic jews and their special requirements, polygamous africans, etc etc etc

But here, we're tolerant enough to let this nonsense go on.

Akhee, you couldn't be further from the truth. My father worked for the GOVERNMENT in Saudi Arabia and for the two prayers of the day that they are at work, (Dhuhr and Asr) there is an imam, a LARGE prayer room, and full facilities for ablution in every building. Unfortunately, they aren't very tolerant of other religions in that country (which is WRONG according to the Quran, imho) so you don't have multi-faith prayer facilities for the non-Muslims. However, in their private residential complexes, there were Sunday mass-like facilities held, however most of the Christians I knew were not in Saudi Arabia to practice their religion but to make money, so I didn't know many religious non-Muslims in my 13 years in that country.

Anyway, yes, ALL MUSLIMS have that benefit in Pakistan, Dubai, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia (the only places I visited; not sure about Syria but I'm disappointed to hear if what you are saying is true).

To Taha's point, you are far more intellectual than to make such broad generalizations about immigrants. Canada's largest bank, RBC, has invested 100s of millions of dollars in immigration programs because their experts recognize the benefit of qualified immigrants. These include immigrants THAT WANT TO PRACTICE THEIR RELIGIONS!!!!

Why the fuck would religion be included in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms if it were something that was harmful to society? Wouldn't the legal experts and leaders that shaped our country, like TRUDEAU, understand the consequences of their actions? These people are 100 x more qualified than you and I to make policy because they have access to ALL the information, unlike you and I.

Also, Taha, I think it's clear that Malek is not just hating Muslims--he's hating all the religions equally in his last sentence above!

Well it means the company has to spend extra $$ to create this room, it's an additional cost which seems a bit silly and rediculous to many people...it ususally also means that others who used that area before have to move somewhere else...

in Pierre-Elliot Trudeau airport (yes in montreal) there's a praying room for staff and travellers.
