Anything Armin has produced till now is god-level.

then...2 cut the sentence short...Gouryella (cant wait till their album is released)

Some of Ferry Corsten's songs released under names of Ferr,Kinky Toys suck bigtime though.Tiesto's remix of Yahel's Going Up is too much...

Lange and Transa have never done a bad remix

PVD can never run outta making catchy tunes (that 'Untitiled' song that he plays live nowadays kix azz...has he named it yet ?)

BT,Yahel,John Johnson and Sander Klienenberg for being the most creative

Those are whom i'll call gods...they will never come up with bad stuff.

Well, Tiesto and PvD are not flawless. Tiesto's remix of Signum "Coming On Strong" was awful. Paul van Dyk "Tell Me Why" is pretty bad and "We Are Alive" is so cheesy! As for Transa or Lange never doing a bad mix, Transa's remix of BT "Mercury & Solace" was very average. does anyone know what the Lange mix of Sash! "Movemania" is like, one of the few of his mixes I don't have

Posted by mizzuno on Mar-22-2001 15:22:

Transa's remix of sparkles by tiesto makes up for his one bad remix and of course supernova was awesome!

ok i agree with u on some things...PVD has made some pretty comercial cheesy stuff.yeah i dont like a couple of tiesto's remixes (that Innocente mix had nothing in it !)

its pretty difficult to top an already well made song - mercury and solace.

Lange puts a lot into his mixes...his worst mix would be that of Faithless' Why Go but thats probably becos Ferry Corsten's Mix was too good.

Otherwise....I always look up to those guys to do some very good trance.

A God should be flawless!

We are not calling DJ's God only on the tracks they produce.
Have u heard Ferry Corsten's Soul on Soul, CHEESE! Corsten isn't God.

I agree Tell me why & We are Alive are cheese. I like tranza's remix of mercury & solace better than quiiver's. Deep Dish's Gladiator remix of Innocente is better than Tiesto's.

Take It Easy Twilogoddess..Ferry Corsten puts out more good tracks and remixes than bad ones....

Unhappy

sowwie. I just take it personally when ppl criticize PVD. Ur right I still think he's cheesy though.

Posted by yujie__ on Mar-22-2001 17:14:

Lange remixes are always good except one remix of Marc et Claude - La, which i think the song is below average. His best remix is Lost Witness, his own work and Rhythm Of Life to me.

Posted by breakdown on Mar-22-2001 17:20:

lol best Lange remix to me is

Agenda - Heaven =p

Posted by eurotrancefla73 on Mar-22-2001 19:31:

Ferry corsten's productions are much better than his music selections. His selections are way too hardhousy/cheezy....In fact, his productions are nothing to brag about. His only works i like was his remix of barbers strings... and of course out of the blue and solstice are decent too, but that is about it... And for us uplifting/melodic lovers... we usually dont like pvd because he is way too progressive/mellow/monotone all the way through. NO buildups... etc...... Well, at least that is how i feel about him, but to each is own. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Needless to say, it doesnt get better than hi nrg/melodic euro trance.......

Easy, easy! Wasn't meant as a dis or anything.

I don't think Corsten is god either.
I do believe though that the story of creation should be more like:

In the beginning god created the earth and all the creatures on it. Then he created the man and the woman to be the ones filling the dancefloors and harvesting the fields.

Finally he created Vincent De Moor in his own image and placed him in Europe to fill the halls with wonderfull sounds, sounds which was to be called TRANCE!!

heheh, vdm is awesome. and i agree with you guys too. corsten's productions are much better than his djing. after listening to trance energy 2000 it was quite mellow in my opinion. no real builds and drops. just one monotone.

hehe. but of course, that's my opinion...

Ferry is amazing producer..i think hes the one behind the Gouyella...tunes..more then Tiesto is...but anyway ...Ferry not haveing good sets ...i would strongly disagree i thought the TE set of last year was good!!....but when i heard his Rosemontag 2001 set...it was just FANTASIC...in every way ...so uplifting...and just one of the best live sets i ever heard ....in my mind!!!.....

Well, apparantly you havent heard some of his newer cds out in the market that are absolutely disgusting. Some of the trance nation ones in fact. Come on, hes got a lot of commercial garbage out and a lot of it is cheezy hard house... He even has the tune that i hate more than any other tune ... the kernkraft tune...and the darude, and storms- time to burn which i also hate. Seeing that he put these three tunes out onto a cd... along with the house garbage just goes to show you where he stands in the trance field... Now, you are almost guaranteed good trance when you buy a cd from black hole or bonzai records.... But if ferry is mixing... watch out... Like i said, his productions are much better than his music selections.. and they arent to brag about either.

... Peace

Posted by yujie__ on Mar-23-2001 17:09:

I agree the System F vs Armin album is very good and uplifting with very sweet melodies. i also recommend, armin's Boundaries of Imagination.

Posted by Aviston on Mar-23-2001 18:22:

I disagree. I like Corsten quite a bit and think he's one hell of a DJ. I will agree that his Trance Nation series is filled with popular trance tunes, but I think that's the point of them. I pop them in every now and then just because they are fun to listen to. His less popular albums (Solar, Oslo, Innercity, Tsunami) are all good in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that he opens with Rank 1 - Airwave on Innercity, which is much better placed at the end .

Posted by yujie__ on Mar-23-2001 18:39:

Rank 1 - Airwaves sound good in any position, beginning or end or somewhere in the middle. it is a good song

Posted by Denser on Mar-23-2001 18:53:

Ferry Corsten is definitely a trance god.he has been around for a long time and produced so many good tunes.there may have been some bad productions from him but i think overall he is the only guy who has kept his singles simple and based on good tunes rather than special fx.

plus...i am from South India and the song "Indian Summer" in his solo album features "Carnatic Music" which is the music of the state i live...Tamil Nadu.the singer is also a tamilian...my native language.Ever since i heard that song..my respect for him has doubled.

When i saw Ferry Live..he spun an amazing set..and i loved all his sets from last year..... the set i heard this year were amazing.... ... you cant look at tha TN albums..and say thats how Corsten spins.... its all studio made ...one thing about cd sets..that you really cant really the energy as if you were in a live performance..!!!! ....and about the TN albums..... you right they had some tunes that just got over played...but there tunes on there which to me i still love to listen to..and are amazing.....usually the more older TNs like i said before listen the Rosemontag rave..and if you dont there is any energy into that set then i dont know what else to say!!
