actually wheni glanced over at the TOTA thread about this, one of the promoters said that another TOTA favorite will be there...that has to mean Ferry. Ferry's booked in Aria the 1st or 2nd of Sept according to them. WOW My guess is if that happens, Ferry will be the headliner in the guv as he was in the past and Armin will be the main man in KH or.....it will be a Ferry vs Armin headliner which is currently a huge speculation. Stay tuned for more info. I am def making my 2nd consecutive trip!!

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jun-14-2006 15:22:

CONFIRMED FOR LABOUR:

Armin
Junkie XL
Desyn Masiello

Probable: Ferry....not only is he confirmed in MTL, but also in Windsor Ontario that week woot! whatta party this will be!

*kelly prays for armin/ferry back to back like Godskitchen*

I doubt this will happen, for two reasons:

Toronto is a HUGE trance town...if they put those two on as headliners in separate rooms near or at the same time, there would be a whole lotta pissed off people!
two: they TEND to keep the genres of music in the same rooms, ie: trance in the KH, house in the guv, jungle in the drink, breaks last year was up on the sky bar.....

speaking of which: SKYBAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a huge fan of breaks, but rest assured I will be up there for the sunrise over toronto's skyline....such a great place to party....

Posted by cl005k on Jun-14-2006 15:48:

You're probably right. It wouldn't make sense for both of them to be headlining in separate rooms. So then we got two scenarios: Ferry would play before Armin or vice-versa or they both go at the same time which has in fact been done before. ARMIN vs Ferry would be soooo ill

+1

2003 Ferry was in KH, Sasha was in main room (siiickk!!!)

2004 Ferry/NuNRG/Infusion were in KH, while Sander K and Deep Dish were in the main room.

Ferry n Armin back to back (tagteam) *WOULD* be fuckin siiick and that room will be crazy crowdeddddd BOTH most likely in Kool Haus. Junkie XL i want to say Kool Haus also but we'll see. Desyn maybe the main room? haha seems like Toronto LOVES Deep Dish, wouldnt be surprised if they play there again...

damns would love to see ANOTHER trance act in KH! rofl! but methinks im asking too much

too bad the main room has THAT amazing laser setup or has KH gotten lasers too?

cmon now, its NOT uncommon for djs to fly btwn Toronto AND Montreal during that crazy weekend...if i recall correctly, in 2004 one of the djs was scheduled at GUV then ARIA or w/e venue in Montreal on the SAME night. I remember it confused the shit outta everyone...but hey, 2 hrs here, 3 hrs there...it can work! ahha.

I hope Ferry DOES come, that would be GREAT!!!

Posted by peace n trance on Jun-14-2006 19:17:

skybar is gonna fuckin rock... it was soo nice out too last year up there.

loove labor day weekend!!!

would u be referring to the guv's 8th yr anniversary??? cause that was the lineup that sat night, which happens to be my first ever time @ our beloved guvy!!! ...2004!!!

noo i was refering to the ones they had in NYC and for the Carry-ON Ultra afterparty in Miami...grrr

speaking of GUVY anniversary parties, i have YET to attend one...my friends CHOSE to go to Montreal/Aria over GUV during the 7th yr anniversay party ( and that was the one with Armin and PVD/Deep Dish back to back!!!) of COURSE i was soo pissed

Posted by cl005k on Jun-14-2006 19:35:

I went to last year's Guvy Anniversary Party. It's a two day thing. On the saturday, Infected Mushroom performed live in the Guv and I have to say they were really really good. Mark Oliver, who is prob my favorite res. dj had a really good opening. It was my first time seeing them and the first time I've ever listened to psytrance. The only bad thing about it was that it was so packed that u can't move and u jsut sweat so much but that's what the ice cannons are for On the Sunday, Carl Cox was the headliner in Guv and Ferry was in KH. Other Djs were Loco Dice, Timo Maas, Richie Hawton...can't remember the other ones. It was a pretty good night but I think LOL and Decadence are better parties.

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jun-14-2006 21:56:

^^ fak I saw IM live at Bal en blanc and the crowd went NUTS!?!?! pure craziness.

On the topic of big parties though, I still think Bal en Blanc takes the cake by a LANDSLIDE!!! I love labour buts its NO comparison, not even close!

Lyss: I am going thursday so that I can enjoy the city and chill with all the old skooler's......will you be going up for the weekend or no?

Posted by peace n trance on Jun-14-2006 22:14:

yea im def doin bal en blanc next year... i've never been to montreal, but i have a feeling i'm gonna want to live there once i finally do!!! its in like march, ya??

the guv anniv parties are pretty cool... its like LOL spread over 2 nights, so its cool if you want to spend the whole weekend at the guvy.

which hotel would u recommend? since my focus is partying the hotel will only be a place to sleep in. not sure why, but when we stayed at the Novotel it ended up freakin expensive in USD per room if i remember correctly. it was fun overall since all the NYTAs were there...and its close to the GUV but not really to downtown. I usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott (its right in the middle of the city cuz i usually like exploring) and a cheap cab ride to and from GUV.

how are u going? are you flying or driving?

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jun-15-2006 22:31:

I stay at the quality hotel downtown on King and Jarvis. I have stayed there literally like 50 plus times. I may be staying with a friend now, but she lives downtown, so no worries But this is the best recommendation I have for you since its like the only place I have stayed usually pay like $87 canadian a night. 5 minutes to Docks (if you go there and even closer to guv...I have actually walked back, but its not THAT close....) Only a few blocks from the QEW exit, so it is soooooeasy to get to and convenient to walk to anywhere downtown.

Hmm def sounds like a good possible spot for all NYTAS to stay at...let the partying begin! hehh Imma look it up.

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=353241

For all that are planning on going to LOL in Toronto, Ferry is now 100% confirmed for the notorious Guv. It's on the amonly.com site. OMG Ferry and Armin in one night!!!! I am 100% definitely going to this!! OMG. Wish I could travel in time right now just to go to this.

- as mentioned by chris

thanks for the info Chris!!

(just wanted to consolidate all info in one thread, per kels' suggestion)

ROLL CALL anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jun-20-2006 18:25:

^^ hehe thanks babe! We can control the CHAOS that might begin, knowing the partial lineup!! Imagine, that the full lineup has not even been announced yet!!!

(btw still almost positive Deep Dish will be closers....they always are!)

Did you get a chance to check out the hotel??

Yup, I held a BBQ the past 2 yrs. As for this year... I'm pretty busy working on planning my wedding to Irish Graham (Aug. 20). Also, the size of the BBQ nearly doubled from 1 yr to the next. The backyard was destroyed too (not to mention too small for the size of the crowd that came, and this year would only be worse). And while everyone else at the BBQ has the 'time of their lives', I am the only one that doesn't. Pulling that off takes a huge toll & is a huge responsibility.
If I can find an alternate location to throw it, I will. I'll do my best. I just don't want the cleanup in my own backyard again.

Posted by Pete K on Jun-20-2006 19:38:

This will be my 2nd LOL...the 13 hour drive sucks..but well worth it..missed the bbq last year...definitely in this year if it goes down.
