Good nite...stayed up in skybar most of the nite, and closed it.

WELL, plans to sleep and get up early for the skybar portion were thwarted when a friend and i decided to just keep drinking instead until we left for the club. eek. extra drinking time + me = bad idea. arrived there around 3:30 completely pissed. after taking an elastic out of my hair and giving it to someone for no reason whatsoever, i then proceeded to wander around asking everyone who i knew (and probably quite a few that i didn't!) if they had a hair elastic. that was a mission and a half to find one!

anyways, heard a bit of lawler's set inside, but didn't really want to stick around in there for the usual reasons. think we were up on the skybar around 5 or so, but lawler seemed to come on pretty shortly after that, so i can't be sure. his set was good, but i didn't think it was anything spectacular. i figured it wasn't going to be as good as last year but it was still definitely fun. i liked that "street spirit" remix as it is one of my fave radiohead songs, but i could easily see it becoming completely annoying if i heard it all the time. in any case, we actually got a sunrise set this year since you could see the sun! wish i hadn't left my sunglasses at home. it is always fun to dance outside to good music in the sunshine and the majority of people seemed super friendly, not pushy and rude, which is what you usually get when you go there.

ok....that guy who was getting dragged out by like 3 security dudes right in front of me completely freaked me out. then about half an hour later, another group of security people rushed by me again after someone else. ffs people.

Lawler's skybar set could have been a little more tribal and a little more harder because too many repetitive teases were tossed without many climaxes, but then again, that's the beauty of Lawler's music i guess, it's that "house wave" that i call it he puts on.

But what made the night was the beautiful skybar, with sunrise, house musik and obviously TA's that bring their "A" game every single time! Thank you guys and girls, without you, a party is not complete!

p.s. anyone knows the name of track Lawler closed down his set @ skybar with?? or that dirty track played after 25th minute in shaya's video where i jumped up on the stage for the climax of that song. fuck the crowd loved that part!!!

you cleaned up last time with the SKYBAR 2005 PARTY tracklisting as well as I remember- excellent trainspottings skills......

......Lawler laid down a track with a distinct 2/4 time baseline.....I kept thinking of Dee-Lite What is Love? - very nice!

and Cribby is working on the other 2 that stood out

I had just as much fun this year as last - for many different reasons - number one being the sound he played for us - I am glad he did not play like last June - change is good and so is prog - maybe because I noticed Manzone and Strong go deep the week before it laid the groundwork and my suspicions - I was pleasantly surprised

I had a FANTASTIC time - SICK MU-SICK!!!

We worked (GUV/RAMPANT) very hard to make this party one of the best sets/performances of the summer - packed shitshow inside aside.......BARATO KILLED IT - people talking that they thought it was Lawler spinning but it still was Nathan laying it down proper. HAHA!

Happy Birthday RJ - Backstair antics on your birthday - hope you had fun bud!

now on to VF - paid them no attention after 2 found the party people and spent most of the night between gallery and skybar - Gallery residents once again do what they are supposed to do and give everyone a hard slap with beats that keeps the floor packed with dancing feet!

people seemed to be enjoying themselves - which was my focus for the evening

GOOD MU-SICK! GOOD TIMES! GOOD FRIENDS! - THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Another successful night @ Guv...

Got in with HypnotEyez and a few Guv first timers around 1am through Gallery to some kicking beats, got settled in and ripped up the dance floor for a few hours...

Moved on to Guv room at 2am to find Nathan still spinning, I really did not like what he was spinning at the time, maybe Lawler being late threw him off and he wasn't ready for it but I waited 30 min before saying enough of this and went back to Gallery...

Another hole making session in Gallery before I moved back to Guv stage to check out Lawler, he was meh to be honest with you, i was expecting some dirty tribal goodness and instead I got... I'm not even sure what, but it was alright, solid dancing for a bit...

Moved up to Skybar around 4, M&S have never failed me so we had a nice little session up there, it was cold at first but again M&S warmed me up nicely...

Ended up leaving a little before 5 got everybody home, arrived at my house a little bit before 7, tea, sleep, busy day of errands, now I'm here

Sadly I didn't get to meet many TAs, I think the only one I saw was Tordan who I always have a pleasure meeting

Thanks HypnotEyez (black eye or not you looked amazingly beautiful as always ), legendary_waz (the only camera man to snap some pics of me where I actually think I look good), Lesya (who HypnotEyez and I really should get to make an account on here) and my two fellow Guv First timers Anna & Jess for another successful night at Guv...
