1- Back in Ancient Egypt gods were worshipped, one being the god of sound, there was one god - Ferry Corsten...... generations down this name was passed to the most skilled and amazing DJ/Producer in the land with the ability of wowing audiences worldwide

for those who didn't bite the bullshit stories there, well I registered @ i:vibes on this name one night and I decided to register here as well after months of trying to decide, and I thought I'd use the same name to help everyone recognise me as the jerk from i:vibes

I originally registered as "TwelfthMonkey" obviously based on one of ma fav. films., i forgot my pasword tho..or was it ma e-mail? Anyway i then had to take another nick but had no clue what the chose. "DonCorleone" that i use on ICQ didnt seem to fit and i seeked for something with trance in it..TrancePrince was okay, TranceKing exaggerated, TranceGiant, too but by then i was too furstrated and just took it..other nicks sometimes used by me : TastyMushroom or NaturalBornMushroom..both inspired by my fav. psy trance producers Infected Mushroom.

My nick was given to me by a friend at a huge trance party that we were at a couple of years ago. Originally it was BIC... as in BIC lighters... and I added the K on the end to stop confusion with my roleplaying buddies online since "BIC" also means "Back In Character" to them.

alright this is pretty random but here goes:
it all stems from back in the day, Snoop Doggy Doggs 'Doggystyle' was an even newer classic than it is today, and me and my friends were pretty much obsessed with that shit. there was also a period MTV commerical with some Jamaican guy explaining how Snoop Dogg kept the fresh in everything like ziploc (cause this was back when everything was h-IZ-ouse and b-IZ-natch). my biology class sophmore year sucked, and i was ranting about my biology homework was wack and somehow biznology stuck in my head. it turned into my first AOL screen name and has refused to die. arent you glad that part of your brain is now devoted to knowing that... late/

my name... hmm where do i start....

well, one day i was riding my bike and i hit a rock and my training wheel came off.. wait, thats a different story.. i was 6 then. ok the real story is i was with a bunch of kids and we wer partyin ans stuff.. lots of us were pretty stoned and this chick was sittin next to me and smelled my hair ( i usually smack some CREW in there so it doesnt get really puffy ((thats when it was long (((its getting long again))) i dont do that much now since its kinda short )) ) and anyways she said, "your hair smells excellent." we all got a good 30 minute laugh out of that and thats the funniest thing i remembered from that night. I slapped it on a quake3 guy and then AOL and now its everything.

My nick actually hasn't any explanation. It just is. I like this combination Once there was something like Virtual Masters Clan for Quake 2 a couple of years ago, where I was the leader. But the clan fell down and I thought I like this shortcut [vmc], so I changed my nick into it. And that's how I became vmc.

"You are all a lost generation." - Gertrude Stein in conversation. that was one of the two quotes preceding ernest hemingway's the sun also rises which is my all time favorite book. in hemingway's a moveable feast he recounts that conversation and his feelings about it and how he feels that everyone is lost in their own generation. and i thought about that for a long time and i look at our generation and i feel that is what the whole underground scene is about...or was about. just a bunch of lost people finding some sort of identity with this living, breathing organism that was the underground scene. so i picked it for my dj name and then it's become a part of everything i do. i also picked it for it's religious allusions and because i like to look at the flipside of every coin. for example "lost" brings up the connotations that you are lost to God but people fail to realize that you can also be lost to the world. and i, my friends, am the latter.
