LATEST PRESS RELEASE FROM EARTHCORE, line up additions:
James Monro, founder of legendary trance label Flying Rhino, and his new incarnation Brazilian flavoured Tropical Beats, breaks master Miyagi and hard dance don John 00 Fleming are the latest additions to join the already massive line up of Earthcore's Annual Global Carnival November 24 26, 2006 at Undera.
They join 24 other international electronic music producers and DJs including hard dance kings Nick Sentience and Mark EG, electro maestro Michael Mayer (Kompakt/Germany), singer/DJ/producer extrordinaire Michele Adamson, Peter Hook of New Order fame who needs no introduction, Israeli heavyweights Skazi (in four piece band mode), Oforia, Fatali and Mo-Shic, plus pioneering experimentalists Gaudi and Shulman, grandfather of psychedelica Raja Ram and TipWorld cohort Lucas, Tristan (Twisted), Japan's DJ son Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Byron's Space Tribe, trance kings Eskimo (Phantasm Records), Protoculture (South Africa), Sirius Isness (France) and Xavier Morel, and the progressive might of Phoney Orphants, Antix, FREq and Emok.
I forgot about Mo-Shic! He should be awesome, it's been a long time coming getting him to Australia.
The Peter Hook DJ thing is ridiculous imo. Granted that New Order were at the forefront of indie/electronic music near the beginning, suddenly there's all these ageing rockers re-inventing themselves as DJ's. I have not heard what he is playing, so i guess i should just wait and see, but it's pretty obvious that all of these guys are riding the coat-tails of past achievements. How about moving things forward promoters, as opposed to giving a slot to someone for all the wrong reasons?
Mo-Shic will be awesome i have only a few records but they are so cool!!!
mo-shic are the business, the salamat album is fantastic
