Very entertaining game. Too bad Spain lost. Would have been nice to watch them against Brazil. On the bright side, good for Zidane. We also get to kick their asses and get some revenge for '98 The real Brazil better show up for this one

THE OLDERS ARE BACK !!!!

Posted by Siesta on Jun-27-2006 20:52:

why do always the teams who play boring win

Posted by Sinus on Jun-27-2006 20:54:

Spain played good against 3 weak teams but France was too much for them to handle.

Posted by LittleGoku on Jun-27-2006 20:54:

well deserved win by win....they clearly showed why experience prevails over youth.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-27-2006 20:55:

Surprised. I really thought this would be the time Spain would go very far, certainly didn't think this aged team would put them out.

Vieira was key on goal 1 and scored goal 2. After what he had already done against Togo, I'll have to name him as one of the best players of the tournament. Ribery was great too.

He's gotta watch himself the next game after picking up that yellow so late in this game, though. Same with Viera

Different result this time around though. Brazil 4-1

France made great pressure and was physically way better: they made what they planned.

Spain didn't play like they know, not enough spaces, and very nervous CBs.

PS The penalty, was.
PS2 Henry is a great actor (2nd goal fault).

Posted by raveed on Jun-27-2006 21:00:

shattered at the result but france looked by far the most determined side after the first half. I was surprised at henry playacting (to draw the foul that led to the goal) as if puyol hit him in the face when it was a minor nudge to the chest since hes usually one who plays fair but even after that spain seemed to have accepted their fate and didnt push for a second.

In any case, July 1 is the day where brazil show you that they make some good french toast.

They are not running - they are rolling all over the field. Ooo, a finger touched my face, I'm going to dive! BOOO!!!! lamers, ffs

Look at Henry in the fault that followed the 2nd goal, "lamer", that you like to speak about dives.

Brazil women > French women

Brazil > France

Both by a landslide!

It'll be 3-1 Brazil samba shake for the victory. Ronaldo will eat up two goals.

Love Poundin' Sensation

Zidane!

not much love for me for the french team in this WC but today Ribery played very well and to see one of my fave players ever Zidane put the game away with that nice goal was cool.
a few players like Raul and Torres were off and that was huge to the result
