Holy shit, that's an awesome watch; didn't notice any Tags when I was browsing through them...but because John's got it I have to go with something else!

Yeah, I'm thinking the Daytona in a BIG WAY...and maybe a Swiss Army in the interim...

Posted by dallastar on Jun-30-2006 22:00:

this is one of many watches I have - I love it so much!!!

Posted by slingshot on Jun-30-2006 22:02:

tag watches are where it's at.

Posted by zoogla on Jun-30-2006 22:27:

Hmmm...I came across this watch today at Pacific Mall and my buddy said it looked pretty good on my wrist:

Swiss Army Ground Force Automatic
- Titanium bracelet
- 41 mm case diameter
- Approx. $560

...and the Chrono version:

I found that the black dial doesn't look as good on me as lighter dials, like silver or white, probably because of my brown skin. The contrast looks more attractive, according to the store lady and my buddy

I also saw the fake Rolex Daytona that I love so much for $380. I wasn't impressed at all

So yeah, because of my skin-color contrast, this one:

...looked better than the original one that I thought I loved...

Damn, I really love white things/people

My father bought me a TAG Heuer Aquaracer (dark blue face, stainless strap, stainless bezel, non-chrono) a long while back - however it has since gone missing (please don't tell him) and I no longer wear a watch.

If I ever decide to get another watch, I will replace it. The TAG was a fantastic timepiece.

I have the Breitling Shadow Flyback...same thing as the one you posted more or less...It's a beautiful watch, but it is abit heavy...

Just some first hand experience I had from Fossil. I bought a watch there - they have an 11 year warranty. I had it for about a year or so and then I noticed it kept going slow. I had them fix it about 3 times for me, and it kept happening. So I spoke to the manager and said this is a bit crazy...is there anything you can do for me. They took the watch back for a full refund!!

Later I found out that the reason it kept slowing down is b/c I worked cash at a Bookstore and everytime you ran your watch over the magnet while demagnetizing things the time stopped and thus caused it to be slow!!

In conclusion...Fossil = great customer service.

See with Breitling their watches are very pricy...they will always range from 4 to 8 thousand....make sure its from an authorized dealer as well.

Oh man I want their emergency watch....lol...go to http://www.breitling.com/en/since_1884/

I would deffinetly buy another one

So yeah, I was talking watches with someone at work today and he mentioned he's waiting to get a "Swordfish". He's a serious watch collector so the rest of us are like wtf?

I looked it up:

http://www.graham-london.com/collec...kknight.en.html

I also revised my list of desired watches...

I was totally thinking the basic stainless steel Rolex Submariner:

...but then I tried on the revamped stainless steel GMT Master II (with polished/brushed contrasting bracelet and upgraded ceramic bezel and other slight aesthetic changes):

...and it looked 10x better. Problem is, there's a $1,500 price difference

I also noticed this in a magazine recently, and being a racing fanatic I absolutely loved the carbon fibre but my significantly classier colleagues said the initial excitement would wear down after a year and said I'd wish I got something classier that would stand the test of time. It's about 1/2 price of my other choices so it might be something to get if I win the lottery or something, lol:

And finally, I tried this puppy on which is gorgeous but doesn't have the same appeal to me as the Rolex. Definitely will be my 2nd watch though (lol in about 10 years) LMAO:

...not sure if I'd go with the above Radiomir (more classy), or the traditional Luminor with the covered crown:
