I don't much like normal breaks, but progressive breaks are cool.

I think you pretty much named all the good Aussie producers Dean. Around the same time I reckon Quivver (UK) was making great stuff too.

I don't know much about this genre actually, could be time for a little investigation...

Upload plz.

I've only seen Keltec play once, at Room...supporting Axwell from memory.

He was awesome. Very left-field track selection.

Why doesn't he get gigs anymore?

Posted by Dean Millson on Aug-08-2007 06:52:

It was a commercial CD release so can't upload it sorry. It's a fantastic prog-breaks mix, although it gets a little cheesy at points.

Keltec plays a more electro-fused sound these days, still playing but not sure exactly where all the time.

He will be playing with Dan Mangan on Christmas Night for PF's Old Skool Retrospective all things working out through (main room will be 4/4, The Suite will be Prog Breaks)

I love that CD Philby.

Gabriel & Dresden's remix of Andain - Beautiful Things was the soundtrack to that Summer for me and from memory the way he mixes out of it into Sasha's remix of Unkle - In A State is perfect (that was such a huge Sean Quinn track that summer, he opened with it after Holden at Earthcore in 2003 and the place went nuts).

Ahh memories That was also around the time he was loving playing that Evanescence - Hello (Gabriel & Dresden Bootleg Remix)... rediscovered that the other day and had a few flashbacks!

For those trance kids wanting to check out some of the old prog breaks gold, go no further than

www.hybridized.org

Check out Proton Radio Digital Witchcraft set from 2003. Still one of my all time fav sets. Gray Area, Shiloh sets from the same time frame are all gold too.

hydridized.org

wow, totally forgot about this site. brings back a few memories haha.

I hate(d) gabriel and dresdens stuff. But Shiloh, Digital Witchcraft, Quivver, Benz & MD, Grayarea etc.. was all awesome around 2004!

I think for me around then it was the Holden/Petter/Nathan Fake and then the Prog Breaks.

Unfortunately, prog breaks got boring, quickly.
