Oh come on. I was cheering on france as well but Italy almost scored 3 goals that game. one of their shots was just slightly off sides and another shot hit the goal bar
But let me ask you...have you ever played 120 minues of non-stop soccer? Or better yet....played 120 minutes of non-stop soccer in the biggest game of your life?
Yes, I have played 120 minutes of non-stop soccer a couple of times. Not in a big game like the WC, but what I considered the biggest game of my life at that time. We played fair, no diving and it actually went into penalties. I soccered the deciding penalty to be exact. Zidanes action should be understood. As you said, it is the biggest game of anybodies life that likes soccer. So the men lost it, so what? At least he lost it against the Italians and not the Americans like someone named Iaquinta. Now that was, in my opinion, the worst shit ever in a game, but the Italians are known for playing dirty. So it comes to no surprise. Let me ask you a question though, aside from all this trash talking, what did you think of Toti? The man was nowhere to be found and if the camera was on him, he was bound to fall down in the next 5 seconds. Let me know.
Best player of this year's world cup.....maybe Klose, maybe Buffon, maybe Kahn, maybe Zidane
but best red card and header of this year's world cup.....
^^definitely this one,
was he thinking?
lmao
and to think........
........that was the last play he ever made in his career!
the guy was retiring after that game and immediately after that blow....he was red carded out of the game!
what an idiot

I just read that the Italian bastard told to Zidane that he is a Muslim terrorist and that his mom is a whore. Well, the Italians are in their best form when it comes to opeining their fucking mouths. Oh yeah and the best is, that Zidane got the golden ball for best player of the tournament. Fuck the Italians once again. And yeah, the form on that header to the chest was perfect. Fucking Materazzi, can't play worth a shit, but has a mouth like no one else. Zizu will forever be remembered as one of the greatest players and that head in the chest incident will not be forgotten, but it will make him imortal. The only thing that Zizu could have done better is to use his fist instead of his head. Put that fist straight thru Mazzerati fucking mouth. Go Zidane.
"Blah blah blah blah. Bitch bitch bitch bitch. Moan moan moan moan. Whine whine whine whine. Complain complain complain complain..."
That's all I hear....
You know what I care about? Really....honestly....you want to know what it is????
Italy won.
Now fuck off and wait until 2010

Muhahahahaha!
/me headbutts Trey.
Materazzi deserved it.
Perhaps....there's no telling what exactly was said. Whether it be something about him being a terrorist, something about his mother and sister...who knows. Who cares, really?
They are professional atheletes just like any NFL, MLB or NBA star and are expected to keep their cool in situations like that. Trash talking happens all the time and you don't *always* see guys beating the shit out of each other.
Maybe he deserved the Golden Ball for his performance UP TO that point, yes. I think FIFA is trying to set an example. I mean...for Christ's sake...about 2 BILLION people were watching that game! I think that without some sort of reaction for what he did, soccer itself suffers a blow.
Just my two cents worth...
Azzurri! Azzurri! Azzurri!

Trey, some people take insults to their family very seriously. You can mock the guy's game but taking it to such personal level is excessive and unsportsmanly. People say words can't hurt but I doubt there are many people out there who won't hurt if someone said the right thing at them. Physical pain heals faster.
Besides, Zidane had not intention of hurting Materazzi. The heatbutt served as a check. Notice he heatbutted the chest and not at the face. He deserved the red card but he retained his dignity.

I wish I would've seen this thread like a month ago or so.
