great pics guys. looked like a great time.

but one question: did you guys HAVE TO do it tandem the first time? was it possible to do it solo on your first jump?

There are other places that you can do the solo jump for your first jump, but the shoot opens right away, so you lose the best part of the free fall..

Lisa Loo... trust me... you can do it... and you would love it...

Not scary at all.... you just need a little balls... I was dancing on the plane once I was sitting... seriously... and the guys next to me were freaked out... ha ha...

Girls rock!!

Woot to girls!! Hahaha I totally wasn't even thinking of doing this...but like I said, after Dan told me your story and it reminded me of myself...I'm actually really contemplating this!

If I can spare the money I may go next time you do!

I saw this review while I was in Europe and OMG, you guys look like you were having a blast. I would love to do this; maybe it would help me get over my fear of heights

It is just a little too much $$ for me atm but someday I will do this

oh that sucks!

I called the place I was considering going to (which is only a 30min drive from Toronto) and they said you can do a solo first free-fall jump... but it requires a whole day of training, and once you fall to a certain altitude, the instructor on the ground will automatically deploy your parachute.

I dunno, does it sound kinda sketchy that they'd allow first time solo free-fall jumps like that?

Posted by Playa24_7 on Jul-23-2006 18:25:

^ alot of places do that.

The thing is though, you wont be free-falling for that long like 10seconds if that, and only go up to around 3000'.

Its better to do the tandem like we did, going up to 14,000' and freefalling for about a minute.
