aug 25th just sounds so close. not sure how many would actually come out. im down for that day. who here can guarantee that they can bring at least 2-3 people? if we can all bring a few peeps it will work. i am pretty sure michelle, kris, sara and the others will come. we might even be able to get drew out!

It is a month away.. I am sure the meet-up will do well.

Now for the Dj's that want to play.. each Dj should have a time slot so everyone can get a turn

Well one of my friends has a time-share directly overlooking the beach in Carlsbad on Pacific Coast High Way that he rarely uses. He has free access to the club house. It has an area that can be used as a dance floor and 20ft glass walls facing the beach, pool, outdoor BBQ, volleyball courts. I can ask if I could reserve it, under his name. He has offered to have parties there before so, I think he would be open to the idea.

damn. so its either the club or the beach resort. hmm. thats kinda a hard one because the thing is the resort wont let us have music loud till 2am and shit where as at the club we can if not till 4am. but if we have it at the resort we have a place to crash for the night.

Carlsbad is an hour and a half away from me so I imagine it is atleast two hours away for everyone else...

Last couple of times, we stopped around 10 pm and by that time there were barely any people left.

Damn, how far was venice for you? Carlsbad is about an hour at most from LB, but yea it is pretty far in itself, maybe more SD TA's will show

Its not a resort. It is a timeshare, which means we cant get rooms there for the night. But there is a hotel about 1/4 mile north right on pacific coast highway, that you could easily walk to.

And the last time i was @ a party their the music went till 1am, it could have gone longer, but the party was only scheduled till 1am.

Either one sounds good to me! I don't mind Carlsbad, but I'm guessing there are more TA's in the LA area than the OC/SD area. How good have the turn-outs been in the past?

well most TA meetups are pre-party meetups not just hang out meetups. so its hard to say. a couple i have been to had just like 5-6 and a few others had a lot more. it just depends.

Yea, well I know for sure michelle will be setting up some larger preparty meetups very soon for the events coming up (MM and LF) but, as for the last "official" TA meet up, we had a good 30 people there at the max and it ran from about 2 pm to 10 pm. So everyone had time to spin, meet alot of the other TAs and even make plans for what to do the rest of the night. Good times , would really hope to see this happen again this summer.

let me clairify a bit. i don't need 125 people. them more the better, but i don't need it filled. it also doesn't have to be a private party. we can make it open to the public. its a edm night anyways so it would work well.

it also gives all the DJs here the chance to met new people and hand out some cd's.

Depending on location, I can get a decent amount (10-20) of people to come (my friends like to see me DJ :P). It all just depends how serious we want to get with this. I would love for it to be an all night/sunrise thing, rather than a pre-party meetup. I think late August would be perfect.
