As for right now I'm really jamming out to Sissy's All Under album. Mmmmmmm it's pretty freakin' slick I must say.

fucking A!!!
This sounds incredible. Definitely what i want to hear more of these days not all that cheesy electro house bullshit that everyone's playing at the moment.

I think the best albums of this year are:

Renaissance Sequential - Hernan Cattaneo
Greed's Tempatation - Greed
Common Ground - Leam and Moor
Transitions - John Digweed
Resonate 5 mixed Alphazone (Disc 2)

(PS: ASOT2006 is fucking weak... unless you like the same song over and over again)

wow some anti-armin fanboy saying asot is weak... what else is new. guess what i'm tired of hearing useless comments like yours, and no I'm not an armin fanboy, I could care less what other people enjoy. It is fucking annoying when people repeatedly put down other people's tastes though, how do you like hearing your same typical comment over and over again.

I liked ASOT 2004.

(different enough for you?)

And, no, I wasn't putting down their tastes. I was putting down the release itself. Sheesh. I was merely amused at the sudden influx of them, 'tis all.

above & beyond - tri-state

You are not alone. I spinned that cd to death. Great album. Too bad it went downhill with the compilation from that point :/

i havent really been gettin that many cd's this year i dl mostly live sets i dunno to me they are better sometimes
but anyway as for me the best cd is prob m.i.k.e- perfect blend
he really out did himself with that one really good and orignal work by the man himself
and yea asot 2004 was classic 2 cd's of pure trance no stupid themes like light and dark or beach and club you know
but asot 2006 isent that bad i dont think i think 2005 was terrable but thats just me

This gets my vote as well, such a fresh sound to it. I'd rank it up there with Sasha's "Airdrawndagger".

Balance 009 Mixed By Paolo Mojo
Renaissance Presents Sequential Mixed By Hernan Cattaneo
Transitions Mixed By John Digweed
Renaissance The Master Series Part 7 Mixed By Dave Seaman

Thoguh. while reading this thread, I've learned that there's (probably) a lot of good shit out there that I haven't heard yet

Posted by MR STROKE on Aug-04-2006 22:26:

transitions-John Digweed

best mix cd I have heard in years

Posted by ranma172 on Aug-05-2006 14:21:

Have you heard Mike Koglin - VS?

Far better than Bobina, Cosmic Gate, Leama & Moor and Relocate albums. Although it's a compilation, not a new studio album.

From these, which one do you like the most?

By the way, did I mentioned Mike Koglin - VS?

Posted by Phortastic on Aug-05-2006 14:31:

Yes I've heard it...

It sucks, because

1) It's mixed
2) It contains edits
3) It's filled with highly unoriginal, standard UK trance

That one good track (Untitled audio, which is completely produced by P.O.S. btw )doesn't make the album worth buying
