Ya I was just gonna say.

Try wearing ear plugs a few times when you go to Guv or wherever. If you don't like it right away, I'm sure after a few runs you won't know how you ever went without them.

A few things...

First of all, if you invest in proper earplugs fitted to your ears the difference between earplugs in and earplugs out is not nearly as noticable.

Second of all, once you get used to the initial differenece of having something in your ear all the time I actually feel like I can hear the music clearer with them in. There is a period when you first get them that takes a bit of getting used to, but after that earplugs in is much better than earplugs out.

Third, now even if I forget my earplugs, now that I've gotten used to wearing them, I still prefer even using the foam ones instead of nothing.

So, whats the end of the story?

You just need to get used to wearing them. You've conditioned yourself to listen without them, but it is not necessary to have the music that loud. Once you get used to wearing them, hearing the music at a place like sonic without any sort of earplug in will make you go, "holy smokes how can people listen to this without earplugs".

I in no way mean to sound like earplug police, everyone can make their own decisions. I am just trying to get across how happy I am, and how happy I know others are with the investments they made.

I'm sure that 200 dollars on earplugs is not an investment everyone is willing to make, and that is totally understandable, but if you can consider it seriously.

God I wish I could find mine! I need my ER20s back!

I agree with Johsy. I dont like partying w/o them. Always think its too loud now. I find the presence of the earplugs in my mind just makes me feel more comfortable now.

They're a definite plus and necessity in my books.

+1 I never understood the whole "Docks isn't loud enough" thing. It's always seemed fine to me.

A definite +1 on that. Loved it when Docks turned down the sound system after the whole Islanders debacle so that you could talk to someone next to you without being hoarse (and deaf) the next morning.

i tired wearing them, but it just annoys me that the sound gets lower...

i know, i would get used to them after a few times, but there is something in me that just loves to hear the music blasting...

nothing better then good beats just blasting your brains out.....

but i do know its not a good thing for my ears, and thast why i am going to reconsider trying the plugs again

I've gotten use to wearing them...so thats not a problem. I wear them at night sometimes, when all the youngen's are drinking all night long and are screaming all night.

I guess I gotta start getting used to the chance in sounds. The ER-20s are amazing at the Zone...but I guess like you said, I gotta get use to the sound..

Definitely don't want to be going deaf
