He's pretty good; one of the few melodic/uplifting/epic trance djs I can listen to these days for any length of time. His productions are stellar most of the time, though I'd agree he needs to slow it down and stop producing as much. It's either that or he'll soon become the next O'Callaghan, pumping out watered-down productions because he's run out of ideas.

I gotta say I thought that tune was f*cking terrible.
But then I'm not a techno person. Definitely not one for the pure trance fans.

Sean Tyas is the man of the moment!

Hes making powerful trance right now. My fav producer at this time. Hes filling a void in trance today.

That track is meh. I'll give him points for switching to a vintage house sound and experimenting a bit, but that's not too incredible. I don't really care for Exactly; I couldn't care less for his remix of Without You, and most of his other recent productions have sounded watered down and devoid of anything that'd make it stand out to me in the slightest.

Posted by trancintaiwan on Aug-08-2006 22:27:

like most producers, he has strong and weak productions..

can't expect all of them to be amazing... you really can't name many producers who have quality in ALL their releases.

Posted by DeRangedMind on Aug-08-2006 23:45:

Sean Tyas has been working hard for all these years and it paid off so quit bitching. Also he moved to europe to expand his sound out so now hes getting more recognition so cheers to him and his brother Ryan Tyas

How in the blue fuck are any of the so-called "haters" preventing you from enjoying his music? Tell me, please.

And I wouldn't necessarily call us "haters" as some of us like his music yet don't want him to become completely dried out, and others of us just generally do not like his music.

Except Sean Tyas.

Posted by Yoshi on Aug-09-2006 09:42:

I just don't understand some of you guys here. Instead of being happy and thankfull there are still producers which are giving us so fantastic music in this days...music that we all so much love...trance music...you are just slandering & bushing them on the forums. I also don't like the last Tiesto & AvB productions and don't go in every their thread writing: "Tiesto is shit". I respect him for everything what he has done for the electronic music and so you should respect every single person/producer that works so hard in his freetime, just to produce music that we all so much like. No matter if you like the result or no. The tastes are different...and it's good so!

Sean is a great guy and definitely one of the trance producers of the year. You can see his tracks in almost every playlist, so the DJs realy like his stuff. I also like his "dirty" trance, as he is calling it. Very powerfull (some elements reminds me somehow on the rock music), but still with beautiful melodies that blows you away. Gabriel & Dresden - Treasure Tracking Down was also in every DJs playlist. Was it a good tune because of that? Hell no.

And btw why do you guys keep listing tracks which others remixed?

Beam - Amun (Cosmic Gate Remix)
Beam - Amun (Jam X & De Leon's Dumonde Remix)

And he is nowhere near the GODlike icon some of you make out of him.
Just listen to the remix of Lost in Love. It's really bad and a disaster compared to the original and the other remixes.
The same goes for his remix of Open Our Eyes. That piano in the break is so out of place you would think that he just simply cut and pasted it there.
And Lift is probably one of the most overrated tunes of this year.

Download still works.
Tracklist could easily be an ASOT tracklist, so if you like this you really should listen the ASOT episodes.

I heard "Duderstadt - Muhanjala (Sean Tyas Remix)" in one of the ASOT episodes and really liked it.

Posted by DeRangedMind on Aug-09-2006 22:43:

why make a stupid thread like this

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Aug-09-2006 23:32:

i think he's a good producer and i love that banging kick. Most of the ppl on that label have that "sound"

But I also do agree that he needs to come out with more banging tracks every so often.
