welcome new hamilton Ta. u said u go to mohawk, what course? And to the lady ta's in hamilton going to S&D....if your going to wear some boots i hope u have the legs to go with them!!! The steel town does suck for the "party" scene poppy-head but their is other things to do. Hope to see/recognize u hamilton ta's. I got a hair cut so I won't be haven't a FAUZZY HAIR @ S&D.

Hey Guys, i know the Hamilton scene is crap for bars & clubs, but has anyone ever been to the FUnky munky on a friday night?
the music is pretty decent and both rooms are packed, ratio is a about 1.5:1 girls to guys
everyone should check it out sometime
also, important announcement, me and my buddy are going to be throwing a party soon, we'll have 3 DJ's, one DJ does breaks & deep house, one does pure trance - melodic/vocal, progesssive, and my friend does prog trance/techno. It'll be sometime in mya because we all have Exams, woudl anyone be interested in comign to a party with good music in Hamilton??
we're serious about this, it's not a joke/scam, rigth now we're working on getting a date set that good for me, him and the DJ's
it was originally Apr. 27, btu personal problems pushed it back a bit, so lemme know if anyone is interested in hearing real music in hamilton

Well I go to Mohawk College, but right now I am not in school, it is my work term. I am going back to school May 6. My course is Transporation Engineering. Its basically anything to do with traffic like traffic lights on the intersections andn road design and so on. About hanging out, I visit Hess most of the time, I guess its the only place to go in Hamilton. All of us TAs from Hamilton should throw a party when its get warm a bit. I know a whole bunch of places outdoors where we can do it. Peace

sure i will be intersted in going to a good party in hamilton. but when were how would be good to know. As for funky monkey ......well i think all of us know. The best time I ever had there was before it opened. My firends know a couple of the owner's. Well maybe previous owner cause last i knew they had it up for sale last year. There was 6 in total. We all had passes to go to two pre-parties for guests only 2 weeks before it opened. I knew the promoter and still do. well we went on the two saterday parties. I was in the upstairs room completely packed. Overcapacity. Place was full of the most beatiful people. Music everywhere. Crowds of people trying to get in but it was a ivite only nite. I know a little too posh. but I was jumpin n pumpin in the upstairs room with the most beatifull people i had ever seen. There were posh people from Toronto that u see in fluid or money but this time they were letting it all out. It was a blast.
after is opened it was good for the first year then me and my friends got sick of it. Plus u could tell that the promotions slowed down and the dj's were only playing shitty euro beats. and that is why i haven't been back

hey to all the hamilton TAs. i also live in hamilton. i just graduated from mohawk college and i'll (hopefully) be at mac next year for 2nd year electrical engineering. i live about 2 blocks from hess village. hess is a great place to chill in the summer. other places to find me are:
- pita pit near mac (for the pitas)
- fever (sometimes)
- you won't see me at the border ever again
- montana's on upper james (for the wings)
- the YMCA (for trying to get muscles)

Lucky bastard, going to Gatecrasher. If everything goes well I'll be hitting Sensation in Amsterdam this summer, that is if everything goes as planned!!!

you guys are lucky. we can't all be as privileged as you. oh well no travell this year for me but next spring Hawaii 5-0. gotta safe this year. Maybe next yr i might go to eastern europe. if funds prevail and i don't buy to many toys....which i always do. i need a bike in my life!!!!

Stuck in St. Catharines
I'm in St. Catharines,,and new to this site (It's great!!) and I still have to learn how to use it.. the only place around here to party was a bar called "The Vivid", but has now been shut down. Anybody else from St. Kitts..??? I'd travel to Hamilton to check out the Cyrus,, seeing nothing going on here!!! I was supposed to go to Wintergalactic but ,,, shit happens.
I'll keep checking in to find out what's going on,, as I am dying for a little excitement!!!

Thanks for the reply rockster77. So what does your friend do for excitement in this town?? I haven't been to Front 54 in a long time...I didn't even know they played our kind of music...I have a friend in T.O but he isn't a T.A like I... Hopefully I will make it up there someday....p.s. nice pictures!!!

I'm from St. Catharines but I have been in Hamilton for a couple years for school. Whatever happened to Liquid Lounge and Vivid? I remember there was another after hours place near Fulton's. You're right St.Kitts is pretty shitty for parties n stuff..but what's going on in the Falls?? I wonder if there's stuff going on we don't even know about...and it's not even far from here. Apparently there's gonna be a bunch of djs spinning house, techno, and breaks at HOME on April 27...It's not trance but I like alot of house and techno too. Never been there but I heard it sucks..ah well.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one stuck in this city. As for Liquid Lounge and Vivid,, they ended up getting closed down. With all the shit that goes on up town it seems it's always out T.A bars that are the first to go.. Not sure what goes on in N.F.. usually the parties that do happen are through word of mouth due to slack from police I guess... I noticed you like Tiesto...me too cool!!! Well, lets keep in touch and if you hear of anything exciting..post it, and i will do the same.!!I'll be watching for you!!!

I was in st. kitts ...about 2 yrs ago and went to this bar down a side street and underground. Is/was this liquid lounge or vivid. I thisnk it had a name like that. The Music was great. The only place with acceptable music and knowledgable ppl playing it when i went. but no one was there. Stayed 10 mins then went to another bar and then came back around 3. Cops came walking though around 3:30 and we were just chillin. No one doing anything and listening, Some of my friends were dancin. and they told them to shut off the music and kick us out. I was mad and up set and went to my car and drove home very angry. is this that place?

Yes speedracer that is the one... cops always coming and sending us home,, even when were chillin..now they just give the bars a hard time until they close up... this city sucks!!!! I used to go to the Fratt House on "Goth" night..it was great because alot of prodigy, nine in nails..hard music techno type... but they closed to... there's no place left to party!!
i been there
yah 2 years ago well maybe 3 now me and my friends went to st.kitts all the time. We went to frat house quite a lot cause of the $2 drinks on fri. We went for goth night once. My friends are into alternative and some r into the hardcore sceen but they still couldn't take it on goth nights. Haven't been to st.kitts in 2 year really.

Don't blame ya for not coming around in two years... not missing much!!!The frat house can be pretty ,,lets say "different" but my friends and I just minded our own business, and so did everyone else. We stuck out like a sore thumbs,,,but we had a great time!!!! I miss that place..
