with Love Parade, Global Gathering, and now Sensation White it seems that the whole export festival market is definately growing. although it will be interesting to see where this ends up going bearing in mind that other festivals i.e. Creamfields have failed in attempting to bring their parties abroad in the past. On the other hand it was some time ago and perhaps the market for dance music has matured enough over the years to sustain a new type of movement..

the question is.. will TO ever see any of this?

Actually it does because that would commercialize the scene as a whole. There is a legal cloud hanging over goa parties and the locals who organize it now only let out the details a couple of days before to prevent over crowding.

Everyone is well aware of the amount of drugs that goes on at these parties and the organizers have to give heavy bribes to the cops to ensure that no bust takes place. Thats why they dont bring in the big names as often any more.

It will be interesting to see how sensation white gets organized although the website says it is not confirmed yet since no date has been fixed.

It does corrupt it because you're taking one of the most pure underground phenomenons and trying to add a whole bunch of commercialism to it that it absolutely doesn't need. It's like asking Metallica to play at an indie rock concert, or asking 50 cent to perform at an undergorund Hip-Hop club.

Goa became famous because of that underground vibe; it doesn't need any commercialism. I would even throw out IM out of there permanently, as their sets are nowhere near the quality that they used to be.

Its a bout time yo ass came to NYC anyways Jams!! Shiiiite!! Just ask the ol skoolers that visit NYC (nada, lisa, Laura, even Shanny) we have a good freakin time down here....we dont even need Sensation for that....but shit, it would help!!

PS: we need a theme for our party. It should be a night-before-party, thus we can go all out.....like the pre-LOL BBQ.....but with a different theme??
