Hey, that was oringal and cool. that was pretty good. I'd be happy for this track to go on mainstream channels (MTV type). So long as it doesn't set a trend for Tiesto or other EDM produictions in general.

Yeah, i haven't heard the start bit. But if it wasn't for the annoying SCREACHING distorted bit towards the end, i think this would be a much better track. the distorted screaching synths at the end are so annoying.

This sort of uniqueness is much needed in the trance scene. Really stands out.

But to be honest, i feel that any trance mixes of faithless type vocals or faithless tracks (like Faithless - Bring my family back [pvd mix]), would be really good and a welcomed change. It's not so much tiesto's production work which makes this track unique.

I thought that was common knowledge?

Yes, a charity called Dance4Life, anti-AIDS, Tiesto is the ambassador, this track creating as an anthem/'promote the cause' sort of thing

This track and it's lyrics (the complete lyrics of which i can't seem to find anywhere), are focussed on moving young people to try to do something about the global epidemic of aids.

i quick google scouting suggests that a new oragnisation may be starting called DANCE4LIFE, which is focussed on getting youn people to do somethign about the spread of aids.

I dunno guys.. .it could be bullshit, but yeah, do a quick google run.

TBH, i think it's good that the lyrics in this one moved away from somethign about love and sweetness and shit... And that the voice isn't lovely and sweet. you know what i mean.

The track is more creative and more unique than i expected. Afer a few listens, i think it's reasonably good otherwise. The real marks should be for uniqueness. It's actually a pretty good track in my books just for that.

Welcome to 2006!

You may find D4L is not a new organisation, it has been running for a lot longer than you think. But since Tiesto has come on board - people like yourself will find the charity through his music.

that IS the whole point of this track, not Tijs trying to create some musical greatness etc.

Exactly what I thought.

Tisto worshippers will defend the awfulness of this song with 'music-does-not-matter-here-its-against-AIDS-people-its-great-that-Tijs-made-the-anthem-for-this-charity-thing-it-will-help-save-people' bullshit.

Meh.

Its definitely a shit song.

With the brief that the song should be all-enpowering to the audience, to inspire them to join in the D4L cause... you'd think the end result would be more powerful.

That main melody, or whatever... What the f*ck was it all about?

Posted by DJ Sid on Aug-27-2006 13:44:

i mean, ppl should be able to dance to this, hence Dance4Life

i really don't think people can dance to this, it hasn't got any energy AT ALL imo. Just fucking boring dark music.
It's almost as bad as having AIDS, but maybe that's a good thing, because the music then reflects the disease

Same. From what I heard at Sensation White, this song blows hard.

At the moment, I don't think it deserves being called Trance.

To tell the truth I thought this song was going to be utter shit but it's not bad...

Posted by Absolut_Vodka on Sep-05-2006 06:43:

take away that riff towards the end, I acutally like this track. Never thought I would ever had said so.

I'm more inclined to agree with your earlier assumption, rather than your perception of this track.

It sucks IMO

I agree.

Without that horrible synth it would be a nice track.

Posted by DJ Sid on Sep-08-2006 09:32:

the global experience remix of this track is actually quite good, fonzerelli remix too.

Using some of his ISOS 5 connections I see.

+1

Listening to previews of it on a live set, it sounded lame, but when i've heard it not on a live set, it sounded a little better IMO. But can't say I like it. I like Faithless, but the vocals in this....they aren't that great. I'de defintely take a modified instrumental of this one, perhaps the SvD Remix...if that is indeed instrumental.
