I think it's the club mix of fllo & Peri. the song was a bootleg before, fili & peri vs the doobie brothers, and I am not sure if that is the version morillo played or the actual original doobie brothers.

Or perhaps the initial bootleg of long runningtrain was the mix morillo played and now the official release has a different feel to it, like most official bootlegs do. But I would have to listen to the original doobie brothers song.

Erick played the bootleg, which sounds miles better than the club mix just released. If it sounds like some random guy is singing instead of The Doobie Brothers on this mix... then yes, it's the new club mix.

Posted by Ascariss on Sep-02-2006 16:30:

hmm, would have to ask around for the actual bootleg version rather than the official release.

the HCCR - back in the day acapella also did wonders to the song.

Posted by iammesol on Sep-02-2006 16:41:

oh btw, with those Lethal Industry samples... That's actually Junkie's percussion. He used it on Red Pill Blue Pill. Tijs got it while they were wokring on Obsession together.

i have the bootleg on mp3, and the official release on vinyl (and mp3 also). the official release differs. it's like iammesol says;

the vocals have changed. the original vocals were much better, they simply MADE the track for what it is/was. i guess filo & peri couldnt get the permission to use the samples ofthe original (thats why the bootleg is unofficial i think), so they used someone to re-sing the vocals ...

I want you to ID Benny Rodrigues' set. Especially the first song

Posted by Ascariss on Sep-02-2006 18:11:

Grabbing the benny one now, also there is a roog set, which I forgot to listen to, lol.

Posted by Frenkieee on Sep-02-2006 18:14:

Benny Rodrigues and Roog, probably the most famous house DJ's here in Holland.

I'm sticking with the SHM though

Erick E for the dutchie win!

Posted by Frenkieee on Sep-02-2006 21:46:

Let me rephrase it:

Benny Rodrigues, Roog and Erick-E, probably the most famous house DJ's here in Holland.

Posted by iammesol on Sep-02-2006 21:52:

I've loved Erick E for a while now. Not only is his mixing impeccable, but he produces some of the best house to ever come out of europe, let alone holland

My only complaint is that his mixes are so commercial

impeccable

Come again?

I'd like to know which production you like that much, since I never have known that much tunes from the guy.

Posted by iammesol on Sep-02-2006 22:20:

Erick E - Ya Don't Stop
Erick E - Midnight Magik
Erick E - Blow Your House Down

impeccable means like... brilliantly awesome

Posted by Frenkieee on Sep-02-2006 22:26:

I'll add impeccable to my vocabulaire I guessed what it meant judging by the context it was in

I don't think I know those tunes. Let's see if I can listen to them somewhere on the net.

Now that you've bumped this topic, I would like to add that sets from Fedde Le Grand & Don Diablo are available for download at http://podcast.dance-tunes.com/

I got them and I would like to up them, if it wasn't for my freakishly slow up rates. So just register guys, that could come in handy in the future too

And for the first tune of Benny Rodrigues' set, that is 2000 & 1 - Tropical Melons

The set on Don Diablo is sweet!
Does anyone happen to have a tracklist of it?

He keeps on sampling what sounds like Lethal Industry/Obsession.
Pretty sure the rest of IDs are tracks from his new album: http://www.discogs.com/release/692295

yes i did notice that too, see my first posts on his TL. but someone said all tracks are his own prod.'s or remixes, and that the set was a live PA. he must have had some live percussions which pretty much sounds like Lethal .. nice set nonetheless
