I mean ffs, Armin and Markus played 3 hours each, thats at least 30 tunes minumum each, 60 tunes combined, people see 10 songs that were ID'd and they pass judgement. G.E. played 1 hour, thats 10 songs. Eric, love you to death man, and am rooting for you, but common, you know good and for well what my point here is. If you want trance back in Miami, then unite and rejoice when its here. Dont divide the scene. In my opnion, its not the quality, style or tiesto that killed trance. Its the bitching on the message boards about the stupidist shit.

Just for the record.. I'm part of the 10% that paid to go see eric & not the others.

Knowing that the other 2 DJ's were there... "TO ME" Armins sound is not my type & Markus I like a little more but not that much. Bottom line alot of peeps may not like either one but I can tell you one thing we TA's do like....

& that's GrooveEric...

I can name a few TA's which are our LOCAL's as well that can & will rock the socks off any club in Miami. Showing the support for our HOMETOWN BOYZ would be a way to try to bring back TRANCE to Miami.

Let our LOCAL's bring BACK TRANCE TO MIAMI....
Slowly but surely it may happen.

From the looks of the Track Lists, Armin & Markus did great.

i never thought trance was dead in miami. try orlando for a change

Well Trance is at a low, house is at a high, even higher is the amount of noobs out there that love crap like Cascada. Dont Worry, I am one of the few that will bring back Trance around here with full force. Yall just got to wait till I learn how to DJ and get a job to buy my own equipment.

At what point did it become cool to just bash the artists that 90% of the people paid to go see, and praise the local hero that was graciously (yet rightfully so) given a forum to spin? I am not doubting G.E. ability, but I think even Eric should be a bit embarrased at the Armin an Markus bashing and the G.E. stroking. I mean if you want to hype up Eric, then do it not at the expense of the headliners. I am sure that with all of this hating going on in here, Armin and probably even Markus dont have much of a desire to hurry back to Miami. Then our local hero is back to playing for 25 people that came out to Blue on a weeknight to see him. I think even Eric (and Eric you can correct me if I am wrong) prefers to see positive vibes and reveiws posted for Armin and Markus as it is better for his future to play Space again in the long run. Again praise G.E. for a job well done, but lets not get carried away and do so at the expense of bashing Armin and Markus. You are comparing two guys who have HUGE expectations to deal with from a very jaded and fickle TA community, to a local hero that we all want to see succeed and who knows personally what each of our favorite tunes are.

There is no need to debate, fight, etc. about this. The night was a huge sucess for everyone involved. We got to have the number 3 DJ in the world play, local native and former resident of Space, Markus Schulz, and I was fortunate enough to have been playing the same night and place as those 2 well deserved and accomplished DJ's. Like I posted earlier, (see quote below) this night was great for everyone, including the fans who like trance music as a whole. The place was slammed all night, and in turn that will make the people and owner (LP) of Space make them want to bring back these guys because they know they pull in a crowd. And if all goes well, maybe I can be play along with them next time. If not, oh well. I'll still be there anyway cause I love trance music and the artists who continue to play it.

I am honored I was able to spin the same night as Armin and Markus. For those who know me personally know how excited I was to even be on the same flyer with Armin and Markus, let alone play in the same club on the same night. For that, I am very thankful!

Thanks again to everyone for the compliments. I'm glad I was able to make your night a lasting memory and enjoyable! That's what it's all about....having a great time!! Without the people, there is no party! Till the next one....

Thats what I want to hear. That the night was a success and that its something we as trance fans can build on. Reading some of the posts and reviews at times makes it seem like the night was a complete disaster. Thats what pisses me off. Trust me when I tell you, that if Armin and Markus had shit sets but G.E. had a great set....that would be bad for the scene. To be honest, I dont even know what it takes for people to say it was a good set on TA anymore. Seems people just love to bitch for the sake of bitching.

that would be awsome for the scene, it proves that underground djs can do a better job.

Playing to 50 people is your idea of a healthy scene?

Obviously you dont know the economics and politics of the Miami scene.

dude who cares about the scene, for the first time a local dj gets more credit than the headliner and you say thats bad?

Just like you are doing now. Why do I have to like what other people like. I never bashed them. I just stated there sound is not my type. The night was a success for many & a let down for others.

Get off your high horse guy....

Did you even go?? All you have done is BITCH & COMPLAIN cuz some peeps expressed their thoughts & opinion.

BOTTOM LINE::

The night was success. Some peeps liked Armin & Markus & some didn't.
Some preferrred hearing Eric (like me) than the others.

& u do?? PLease explain then since you apparently know so much.
what is our theory behind the economics & politics of the scene in MIAMI??

i've got to agree with JP on this one.

Lol.. wtf?

but yeah dude. Some of the best parties have been with just us TA's in the crowd and they are still #1 in my eyes.

Just cuz a place is packed with "teeny boppers" all on E because it's the cool thing to do doesn't make it a bad ass party. Half those people only know POP Trance songs and stuff.

Leave the people who have their own opinions about an Artist, and back it, up alone.

Just because someone is ranked in the top 10, 20 or 30, doesn't mean they are necessarily GREAT... it means they are POPULAR. ATB and Benny Benassi anyone?? Also PVD night wmc.. I was one of the few who didn't go to see PVD and went to see Elevation/ Menno de Jong, missed suzy solar and thomas B but it ended up being a way better party then space

Posted by Iron Fist on Sep-04-2006 17:31:

Hey guys come on. Don't be complaining. If you didnt like it you didnt like it and if you did then you did. Its all in the past now.

This is nonsense you know why cuz

For ONE fucking nite it wasn't about the BIG artist that comes down 54654646468746 times...SO what if we preferred Eric over Armin that's cuz to us, Eric plays better music & IMO Armin gets attention ALL the time...Markus rocked it (and I doubt ANYONE bashed him because we love him down here) sometimes locals needs more praise for a GOOD reason. Armin isn't the fucking shit so stop wiffing like it's gold.

But w/e just my .2$ I don't want to debate with you.
Armin did better than last time but would I say I paid $25 to see him....hahaha NO...I paid to support & see Eric & Markus.

I agree a mediocre track, good thing it was played early rather then when hes was banging right after Oxio.. It was packed, but you should have seen saturday. A trillion people were there. Trust me it made Armin & Markus seem empty. And past 9am
