Posted by jam.iii on Sep-04-2006 07:28:

coulda seen this one coming... this dude is crazy! what better way to go, in his eyes at least

Posted by Jackson on Sep-04-2006 08:05:

The good thing about Steve is that he had alot of respect for the animals he was working with. Whereas if you look at other guys like Austin Stevens he is just a prick...he has no respect for animals whatsoever!

Rip Mr Irwin.

he lived on the edge, I guess it was a fitting way to go for him, too bad it was so soon

RIP

RIP CROCODILE HUNTER, AUSTRALIA HAS LOST ITS ONE EXPORT...

nou, u see how insane /b/ went?

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Sep-04-2006 09:49:

I mean no disrespect because he truly did seem like a likeable guy and someone who lived his life doing what he loved, and that's commendable enough....

But at least it happened the way he might have wanted it.

To see 'Steve Irwin was hit by a bus in Sydney today and died at the scene' would have been lame as hell. At least it's not a total tragedy seeing as how he died doing what he loved. Cruel fate though.

precisely. I'm sure that while he wouldn't have wanted to have gone, he'd have rather gone in the way he has, doing what he loved, than something else. The guy has brought so much to the world really, the fact he always respected the animals was the simple reason he got as far as he did. Will be a great miss

Ahh, a yanky. I'm sure you've not seen neighbours or home & away, the great landscapes australia has, the legendary battles between australia & england in sports or ever heard of some bird called kylie? Strewth

and yeah this news sucks, but there seems to be some speculation that he wasn't killed by a stingray but another thing or person or who knows what....

Posted by Ian on Sep-04-2006 10:56:

thanks to jamie, do i mena thanks? for this

Posted by aquila on Sep-04-2006 11:04:

I live a short drive away from where he was killed. Shit, I've even been diving around there myself. This is a really huge shock to me. It's hit so close to home.

...and for it to happen to a world famous celebrity who despite acting like a buffoon actually knew what he was doing...it's just mind boggling.

My thoughts go out to his family that he adored more than his career.

+1

It's nothing but a tragical accident that happened to Steve Irwin. There is no need for explanation.

It's really sad, I liked that guy and respect and honour his work...

f'ck, I'm emotionally withdrawn..the last time this happened was September 11th...

Rest In Piece, Steve Irwin

Posted by Dublin Guy on Sep-04-2006 12:23:

I'm sure he knew they were dangerous. Theres only a handful of fatalities asscoiated with them throughout history so it was a bit of a freak incident.

I do feel quite sad when a man with so much good nature and enthusiasm for life is taken.

RIP
