this thread rocks as im thinking of hitting ibiza for a few days next summer if i end up going to france.
flyzoom.com is a good starting point for oversea flights. From MTL to Paris, i was able to find a flight, both ways for $600CND (thats in june-july). Price slowly go up as you get towards august!
pple keep posting advices on Ibiza, im excited, i might go to a country thats not US and Canada! lol
YOU GUYS are sooooooooooooo going to ahve a blast -
hugz!
ok now this is turning into one of those "OMG i'm going to IBIZA next summer" threads and then nothing happens
you don't have to be so organized trying to plan a trip to ibiza, the more spontaneous it is, the better your stay will feel! (unless you're going to work there for the summer)
flights are always avaliable at any time. i missed my original flight from barca to ibiza b/c french trains are retarded and i got stuck in paris while i was suppose to be @ space a.m. opening for carl cox (don't ever tell me about that party again fuad!!) and so i ended up buying the next flight to ibiza for 80 euro as oppose to the 35 that i lost b/c i wanted to book it half a year in advance. my friend came from nice to ibiza and she booked the flight literally 2 days before b/c she just felt like going with us on this trip so don't worry about purchasing these flights so much in advance i'd say b/c then you are so worried about messing with your plans since you don't want to miss your original flight. what if something happens down the road like you smoke so much in amsterdam that you forget about your train and you end up missing your flight to ibiza, shit happens!
listen or not, this is just my recommendation. for me personally b/c it was so spontaneous, the 3 days literally felt like i was there for months, and i think that's the kind of feeling you want to leave the island with, that you want to come back because of the memories and experiences that left you there, not because you simply didn't have enough time to party.
next summer i'll be going there for at least 1-2 weeks, perhaps some more if i find a job there, but in general, you need to spend at least a week on the island to really discover it!

It makes me want to go back..
Andrea is good on a budget.. I am not so good. I am sure Ryan and Fuad can agree with me.. if you are not careful you can also go through money like it is water. Especially when you develop the theory..
"You only live once but get paid every 2 weeks.. "
Worth every penny.. although I have decided not to figure out a total as I am afraid of what the real number would be..
I predict an Ibizian round table on Saturday.. everyone is always willing to share their stories..
Seems the roll call for Ibiza 2007 is growing at a rapid rate...
I am hooked on the island and need (not want) to go back.. once you go everytime you talk about it you get a goofy grin. Watch all of us on the weekend..
As Jon has said .. there is something just not right about that little island.. a craziness you can't describe you have to experience.
^^ if u plan in advance, just make sure you know EXACTLY what you're doing first, otherwise you might lose on some of those flights if you can't make it since most of the flights to ibiza are non-redeemable.
p.s. ok how bout we stop talking about this ibiza place now b/c i'm getting very sick just by thinking how much i miss it and here i am sick like a dogg in the wonderful canadian weather

Spitty, Shelly, Fuad...all of you, I'll be talking to personally. Vlad I know you say to be spontaneous...and I can be when it comes to going out...but in regards to flights and accommodations I have to plan, plan, plan....that's just how I am. The flights are definatly the most confusing, everyone's saying different things. I have to figure that one out. We were planning on going straight Toronto to Holland...but it looks like it'll be cheaper to go to London first? |

For flights; those that say book early are right. If you book all your flights by mid-to-late January, you should be getting the cheapest fares. Look around several agencies. Also, flying accross London is usually the cheaper way, but not always. Check the rates if you fly over Hungary (Malev) or Germany (Lufthansa) and use that as a jump-off point. Also, avoid Heathrow airport, if you can. Its kind of a headache.
