lol...I'm shocked Kitchener has enough ppl actually willing to venture into a sushi house ... lol ... my hometown is finally growing up lol

As for here, I must second the recommendation for Sushi on Bloor... nicely priced & typically with larger portions than most places,
I can't fathom going to this place & not getting an order of their Negima Yaki. I'd also recommend the Green Tea ice cream, delicious stuff really & a very nice way to take the edge off that "Whoa, I just ate waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much sushi, but it's sooooo good, & I just want more ..." feeling.

then you'll be shocked that guelph has a sushi house as well. can't remember it's name, but it starts with a 't' and was really good.

He cuts fish and prepares freestyle sushi ("chef's selection") and he just passes it over the glass sushi counter as people crowd around it like a velvet rope in front of a club.

The chef continues this just handing it out, making little sushi plates each with their own uniqueness.

I highly recommend this place. I'll post the name when I remember.

I just remembered the name of this place: OMI (451 Church Street, 416.920.8991)

One would need reservations because it is a small restaruant. Make sure you sit at the bar and order the chef's (John Lee) special where he keeps feeding you until you can't eat anymore. Good sake as well.

Who's up for going to this place after Fuad's gongshow?

Man, if you're down there and it's like sushi, something is very, VERY wrong.

Also, I have never tried any bit of sushi that I like.

Posted by Frenchie on Sep-14-2006 03:41:

Tried Sushi for the 1st time a few months ago, I don't like it. I tried a bunch of different types, but still don't like it.

People are always telling me how good it is, but....if someone could point me towards a GOOD quality place , id be up to try it, yet again.

Posted by monkey_keymo on Sep-14-2006 03:44:

i love sushi... i eat it almost everyday
i like island sushi downtown but it's expensive. cheap places that are good quality sushi are ginza at younge and clark and then mitsui at bathurst and elgin mills... ichiban at younge and oxford is also good but expensive. YUM. =)

Theres nothing I dont like, spicy salmon hand rolls, to Toro sashimi, to a nice hot bowl of Edemame, to the delicious grilled Eel sushi

That can be very DANGEROUS! THeres a place here, that opened recently, and its all you can eat.

Rule of thumb is, DONT GO to an all you can eat place if you want good sushi, but I tried it anyways.

DAMN its good food, and I stuffed myself untill I was as slow and sloppy as a sloth. Very evil place, esspecially for some one like me whos eyes are MUCH bigger than their stomachs.

I told u it was good ^_^

and its our fault u and tony puked after eating 4 people's worth of food in 5 mins.
