ASUS P4C800 Deluxe Mothership
P4 3.2 Northwood (Zalman Fan)
I GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Zalman Fan)
160 GB SATA HD
19" iiyama vision master CRT
Windows XP
8 Mb Broadband
400W Q Technology PSU
EMU 1820m Soundcard

+++++

When I first got my computer, it sounded like an aeroplane. I got it without the zalman fans and with a supposed 350W cheapo PSU...

When I first used the DVD drive I found a CD called 'cracking wee tunes' in the tray! I thought it was odd and considered the possibilities that a) the builder was listening to tunes while building or b) it was a used drive. Hold that thought for now...

About 2 weeks later I was using my PC when I heard a loud bang, my PC failed and wouldn't switch back on. I took the PC back to the store where they said it had been fitted with a 300W PSU instead of the 350W I paid for. Three days later it was 'fixed'. At this time I wasn't able to build PCs so I wasn't confident enough to open it up and check.

A few months later I had some PC building experience under my belt from college so I decided to have a go at installing quiet fans/PSU. When I opened my PC I realised that I had been given another fucking 300W PSU! Then when I changed the CPU fan I found I had a 3.2 Northwood instead of the 30 dearer Prescott I paid for. I found out the Northwood outperforms the Prescott at this speed but that wasn't the point! So I phoned the store and told them about it, asking for a refund. I had a years warranty and was 9 months into it but they said that was too late. I was fuming but couldn't see what I could do about it.

This was World Of Computers in Glasgow, Scotland. So now I've told shitloads of people about my experience and I reckon they've lost way over the 30 I was rightly due because I'll reccommend other shops to people.

Eh, yeah.
