Lis, you have to understand that dumb people have problems expressing themselves properly, so in order to get their point across they need to be flamboyant about it and parade their and other people's dirty laundry to the public in hopes that someone will feel the same way and fight their battles for them.

I have known and worked with Eddie and Jay for a few years already and from what i have learned... im sorry jay... but your reputation speaks for itself. I dont see why drama has to come to this thread when its about SUZY PLAYING AT METROPOLIS but this business with management and promotions is really ugly because of promoters who will do anything to get a person into their party..even at the cost of making other parties look bad on purpose.

I'm playing at saltwater tonite, and I am also going to try to make it tomorrow to see Suzy play at metro. she is a great dj and when i met her during WMC she seemed like a very nice/friendly person. I would hate for drama such as the topics that arose in this thread to turn good people like her into many of the dj's around today with sooo much talent but such bad attitudes.

GOOD LUCK SUZY!

Suzy would never let other people's drama change who she is. Suzy is still the same fun and crazy person that I first met in 1995.

Uhhh ok. No one has posted any review or anything so i guess i'll be the first. I got there around 11:30'ish and there was this huge dancehall/raggae festival going on out front and in one half of the club. I had to walk around to the back to get in. The chick at the door told me the Solar password didn't work so i had ot pay roughly 35 dollars for me & my gf. Luckily i ran into Jay and told him what happened so he bitched the girl out and bought me & my gf drinks all night. Opening dj was alright i guess, he was mixing some decent house with a couple techy tracks in between.

It was a pleasure to meet Suzy & Brian. Very cool people and hope to see more of you guys down here. Suzy had an awesome set. I'm not good on ID'ing tracks but she laid out some well known ones. I'd compare her set to maybe a snowball going down a hill. started off nice & slow and just gradually tore the place apart. towards the end of her set there was so much energy that i thought i was listening to pvd on a good day. I wish she could've played longer but the dumbass going on after her was being a douchebag. All in all a great night and I wish more TA's could've experienced that with me.

Cheers

Another DJ crying and whining about wanting to play? Someone should have told him to STFU. Good to hear Suzy played well. Sorry I couldn't be out there, guys. Times are tough right now.

Good to hear Suzy did a good job! I would have made it out, but I had plans already to go to the regatta.

Hey guys!! i'm finally able to post a reply after my tough schedule this weekend. i was triple booked and i'm still really tired so i hope i remember everything;-) first of all, i really appreciate that my friends & fellow TAs are so supportive and that you guys enjoy my sets. thanks very much to those who came out for the show!

the party was put together in a matter of a few days so some kinks in the plans were inevitable. in the beginning of the night, a couple of people didn't get in with the Solar password but got free drinks for the inconvenience. sorry about that; "girls gone wild" was throwing a party at metro at the same time so their people were at the door. this wont happen next time. in the future, the promoter will also have control over who goes on after me.
the staff who i got to meet were cool and made me feel welcome. the owner even shook my hand and thanked me after my set. i have some great pics from the night, which i will post soon along with my pics from the "fantastic 4" party and "sunset 06." all together, i had a kick ass bday weekend:-)
hugs & kisses,
suzy
