That's probably the nicest compliment I've ever received in my time on TA. Thank you.

Overrated.

Past its prime? Its always been like that.

The " local life" is what gives it, its charm. Ive met some cool homeless folk there. Gotta love the steam rising out of the manhole covers at 3am. If you thought is was some kinda clean city you made a big mistake.

I love urban decay and the city is full of it. Thats what Ive gotten used to and grown to love, if it changed the city would suck IMO.

oh i CONSTANTLY BRAG about weed huh? i'd like for you to find where i brag about my weed other than posting a pic of what i have every few weeks or so along with a short description of what kind it is. i'm sorry if the weed in northern california is better than whatever the hell you get in wisconsin, just because you have feelings of envy doesn't mean i've necessarily been bragging about anything. i'll be waiting for examples of my CONSTANT BRAGGING.

also it was my mistake to even make a thread in the music discussion forum... that clusterfuck is populated by a bunch of whiney keyboard commandos who feed off negativity rather than focusing on anything positive they like in the music scene. i never said that nye line up was my dream line up, i was merely pointing out how it is likely going to be the BIGGEST nye line up in the world. you read it however you want. of course i'm not surprised you react to it the way you do. you're obviously too good for everything. i know it's like the biggest crime in your book to show interest in something that can be considered mainstream edm.

good job basing your opinion of me on 2 threads btw

lol josh4... he's lived in this state less than half a year and even though i'm out in the clubs 2-3 times every weekend, i've still yet to see him in an sf club once. he never posts in the west coast forum, i've never seen one post from him in any roll call or review threads. i wonder if he even listens to edm to begin with. i asked him the question once before and he never replied. i have the sneaking suspicion josh4 only posts in the cor because he has no other friends anywhere else.

Sweet! Not even Africa can make that happen after terminally defeating white people in a 10k.

I meant for all of this to mean something.

"Dude, I was so fucked up that night (Max Graham), and I still managed to unhook my decks, move them to the center of the floor in the living room, hook them back up, and spin for an hour and a half just mashed out of my mind at 7 in the morning...
The story of that night made it into the CHA thread.
.."

and the fact that you are a pothead youself, you spend hundreds of dollars on a new bong as a present to lucid, you talk about how you were so fucked up yet you were stilla ble to spin for an hour and a half mashed out of your mind is more evidence than you blatently throwing out claims that lex brags about smoking weed without providing any kind of evidence

besides what are you criticizing lex for bragging about weed when you yourself is as big of a pothead as he is...what difference does it make if he brags about about it and you don't?

so yeah ur a moron

Bullshit aside...

The quality of the photos were excellent. San Francisco is the one city outside of my local area that I'd live if I had to move out of the state.

Not what everyone whos been here a while has told me. Its always been a dirty city but it used to be a great party city as well.

of course it's not going to be like the days of the dotcom boom where 30 millionaires were being made EVERY DAY, lines to every club were going around two sides of every block and everyone including club promoters is throwing money around like it's going out of style, but if you took the time to actually go out, the city is making a huge comeback from it's 01-04 lull.

dirty city? what about sf is dirty? sf's chinatown is cleaner than any other i've been to in america, the tap water rates amongst the cleanest in the nation, there is no air pollution, the city's buses are all zero emissions vehicles and the only time you see litter on the streets is when the wind knocks over a garbage bin on garbage day. the only thing dirty about sf is the tenderloin, which is the one district filled with homeless crackheads, but you have to go out of you way to find that district if you want to see dirty. sf's biggest industry for tax revenue is tourism and because of that, most of the resources go into city beautification.

i do take the time to go out and i'm not impressed. yes the city is good, but its not spectacular and it certainly has nothing on cities like LA, NYC, or Miami. the stories i hear about from the dotcom era are crazy but when the bubble burst the law enforcement cracked down on the nightlife, hard, too hard. its less than it was before the dotcoms came to town. its making a comeback to which i give you a ... call me when it isnt "coming" back but when its back

one thing it does do well is create a sense of community, people fall in love with it and will defend the city to their death which usually causes them to overlook or not admit the shortfalls. its that smug pride everyone talks about

oh whatever, that was overrated too. in the past few months there have been festivals and parades practically every other weekend and its been great to have things like that especially with such frequency, but they're all overrated. most of them are nothing but an excuse for commercialism

Bro, Ive lived in the bay area since I was born (except the last 3 years). You need to get out more. Just because it isn't packed to full capacity doesn't mean you cant have fun. Im not sure what you mean about nightlife but you can definitely have a good time in SF. Its probably one of the most relax places to have a good time.
