Hardwares all-time favourite live act! CJ has played more times for us than anyone else from overseas for one reason, he is awesome. From power tracks Horsepower and The Prophet to Get On The Move and Beats Time, CJ Bolland aka The Ravesignal is the master of melody incorporating electro, techno, house and old skool trance for 60 minutes of dance floor power. Welcome back big guy!
www.cjbolland.com

Ignition Technician has something special lined up for NYE for our birthday bonanza! The infamous Player himself brings to you a live show packed full of classic retro reworx of some of dance musics best-loved tunes. Revealing for the first time material from his new projects Androids and Infamous the sub label of his world famous Player imprint. Ignition Technician brings together all his aliases DJ Special Needs, Pirate Audio and Infamous Player to deliver an old school education. A set fuelled by retro House and Techno that he been strictly built to rock the dance floor. This is NU RAVE FROM THE OLD SCHOOL
you have been warned!!
Josh Abrahams, Steve Robbins and Dave Carbone are Future Sound of Melbourne (FSOM). For years FSOM was one of Melbournes best exponents to the world of electronic music. Their seminal hits Welcome and Pleasure along with a multitude of hits, launched them OS where now Josh and Dave went on to produce new projects. Witness FSOMs acid, rave and Chicago style house and techno rolled into one party time sound.

Obnoxious ultra future meets post-apocalyptic acid Armageddon punk party music. They are the anti-heroes of a forgotten past, trying to connect and communicate via a drum machine. This will be Acid Jacks last live PA as they head off to tour the USA in early 2007. Glue sniffing zombie sex droids who will deliver a 303% LIVE ACID PA.
Can you jack this acid groove?

Well have you read this thread?

Belfast is the go if you like old skool tunes (always fun).

Posted by kelsta on Oct-31-2006 03:24:

^ the only Melb events listed in this thread are

NYE: Belfast
NYD: Summdayze or Sunshine People

carnagefairy if you like the idea of a big old school rave kinda thing then Belfast is the go Otherwise I'm not sure what else is going on that night... besides some handbag nova thing at room

Posted by Dean Millson on Oct-31-2006 03:43:

There isn't that much else on Kel if you think about it.

I think Alumbra is doing a NYE thing like the always do.

Posted by charlee on Oct-31-2006 03:51:

Frostbites always put on a good show! I saw taxi ride there about 4 years ago. Super time!!

Posted by kelsta on Oct-31-2006 04:08:

I'm sure there's plenty on if you're after house

Honkytonks are doing a party but it's pretty pricey..

New Years Eve 2006 at Honkytonks
The Last Dance Have a great life!
Lineup: Aram Chapers, Mike Callander vs Dave Pham, Muscles LIVE, Andee Van Damage & Bongmist Snort it LIVE and Cirque de Toilet with Andee Frost, DJ Safari and Bongmist
Ticket Price: $100+BF

Posted by Dean Millson on Oct-31-2006 04:14:

That's techno

And yeah forgot about that one - very pricey indeed and i don't even think that includes any drinks (although i could be wrong).

I read somewhere that someone said Junkie XL posted on his site that he was playing oin Melbourne on NYE?

Posted by xtractorfan on Oct-31-2006 04:21:

I will be in Hong Kong over christmas and New Years... hope theres something there to keep me entertained.

I noticed
I was mentioning it as another (better) alternative to the 100 house things on around town

Posted by sezzy on Oct-31-2006 10:59:

wow $100. you'd want it to be pretty good!

Posted by MiSSyM on Oct-31-2006 11:55:

Yeah $100 does look pricey, but when you think about it, its going to be the LAST EVER HONKYS!
What a shame, have had some good nights there before + they've brought out heaps of good internationals too. I rekon its one of Melb's 'best' or 'better' clubs.

Why are they closing again & whats going to happen to it when it closes?

I think its still a bit early, Im sure more things will be advertised once New Years Eve comes closer?

Posted by Trance Nutter on Oct-31-2006 11:59:

Last ever Honky's?

I might have to get myself over for that one with a friend who loves that place.
Not knowing too much about techno names, is that a decent line-up?

Posted by MiSSyM on Oct-31-2006 12:09:

Oh Bubbles boy is going for the Cirque de Toilet.
plug it in, plug it in.
