On the issue of Christianity, little quote goodness for you: I prayed to God for a new bike, then I realized he didn't work that way, so I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness. |

are you freaken serious....where is God to comfort cancer, AIDS, leukemia, lymphoma, hodgekins, diabetes, blindness, deafness, depression, terrorism, para/quadrapalegics, people with deformities, people who lose loved ones, and all the other horrible things that happen to people each and every day...does this GOD come down and carress these people and speak softly in their ears and tell them , since HE IS GOD, that they have to SUFFER with all their pain even though HE CLAIMS to have the power to cure all....why dont u go take a trip to ST.Judes Childrens Hospital for Cancer and tell me where God is....cus he sure as shit isnt there..
i beleive God put us hear to fend for ourselves..he gave us free will to decide are own paths..we can follow the right one or the wrong one...either or in the end it doesnt even matter... [/B][/QUOTE]
Man, I'm getting hammered tonight!
Ok, Let me say this:
Because people dont have faith.
Have you heard of the New World Order? if so, I wont be dreaming that. The Euro mark is a sign of one GOvernment, And so Is the U.S having a army base in every country, Look on the back of a one dollar bill... Can you translate and translate all of that to enlish for me? (I already know, I just want you to know, But if your to lazy It says New World Order) Look on the dollar bill again. See the eye and the pyramid? Yes. The eye is the government, And the rest of the pyramid is all the countrys in the world. Meanind, We support one government.
Next quote:
God is with you at all times if you have faith in him. My grand mother, She had a heart attck in, AUgust. Doctor said "She has 3 weeks to live" Science VS God. She is alive right now due to her faith and will to live. She is doing everything she was doing before August.SO HER FAITH AND WILL IS KEEPING HER ALIVE! People with AIDS must be doing something wrong. And I can back that up. And please dont say I hate people with aids, Just hear me out before you go apeshit on me! I have two friends who have AIDS. Ok. One of them is a homosexual. And the other was on Meth. They are the ones who can admit they were wrong in what they did.I pray for them everynight. Just like I pray for everyone else who I love or am aquanted to. I'm not saying I am perfect. I have done things against God. But I asked for forgivness. And hopefully he will accept my apology. And to your "Sick people thing" God does have the power to cure all, But if god wants you to be happier in heaven. He will take you at any moment.

I guess I will shut up now.
Good job Micheal Russo
I agree... what this woman did is no different than what people do each day... legally kill their babies.
When you have gone through pregnancy, labor pains, and giving birth, I'd love to here your views on abortion.
Also, I didn't really steal a bike. That was just an interesting quote I found. Hehe.
And did you just state that "God evolved us"? Where have you been getting your info from?
That site is bullshit in your opinion. Just because you say so doesn't make it true. It has a lot of views that conflict with yours, which doesn't surprise me that you oppose it. That's your right.
"Suffering brings us close to God"? Yeah, that's an intelligent statement. Because God wants us to go through horrible amounts of pain. He works in mysterious ways. And he loves us. But if we don't love him back, he makes us suffer and burn for all eternity. But he still loves us.
And you don't have to be Ultra-Religous, Atheist, or Ignorant. What you believe is a personnal decision. Being incredibly biased towards one point of view is being ignorant, not debating what to believe in.

I'm not trying to find a scientific explanation of God. But there is a scientific explanation of the things that He created... that's why science is so complicated. Look at a strand of DNA... wow.
Science and God actually come into direct contradiction with each other. Evolution vs. Creationism is a very nice example.
Also, according to the bible (Christian God Perspective), the Dinosaurs never could have existed. I guess Satan planted huge skeletons of humongous beasts in order to trick us, and lead us away from God. Yeah. Right.
Also, there is no proof that God created anything. That is a debate of once again Evolution vs. Creationism. ]
LOL, I love it. God created DNA
That's just too much.
Religion:
If you belief in a creed, and follow it, you are not ignorant.
If you choose to believe in no creed, and learn what can be observed/figured out, you are not ignorant.
If you believe whatever you want to believe and you just believe things you were taught that sound good, you are ignorant.
that is my oppinion. by the way, Michael Russo, I think what you said about Athiests is very true.
But the second type of Atheists are not REAL Atheists. They are just ignorant, and do not know what to believe.
TRUE Atheists, like myself, have concluded that there is no God, and if there is a God of somesorts, it doesn't matter, because he does not conclude in our affairs or judge us.
2) Andrea Yates: she will suffer in jail. justice will be served. For HER sake, however, i would execute her. the rest of her life will be a living hell.
and she will NOT be very confortable in jail, trust me.... she will be in torment.
If you believe whatever you want to believe and you just believe things you were taught that sound good, you are ignorant.
I agree with the second part (you just believe things you were taught that sound good), but believing whatever you want to believe is what life is all about. It is a personnal decision, and as long as your a good person, I'm all for freedom of belief.
Black and white are just two sides of the spectrum, there's a whole shitload of gray in the middle.

Too touch up on a few of your responses:
They come into contradiction with each other? According to who? Not me... or, for that matter, the Roman Catholic Church. In my opinion, all of our scientific discoveries reaffirm the necessity of God. Yes, look at a strand of DNA, and tell me that it could have accidentally been made... yeah... some matter flew together, and suddenly we have genetic code? I don't think so.
See, according to science, a little thing called the resurrection couldn't have taken place. And to say that Genetic Code was created by God is just hilarious. God felt it necessary to give us DNA? C'mon.
But really, I don't see what the problem is... why can't dinosaurs exist? Does it contradict some aspect of Christian faith? I don't see how.
Everyone knows the Adam & Eve story is made up... but for argument's sake let's say it isn't. God created animals (like dinosaurs) before humans. So what's the problem?
The length of the Earth's existence is why science contradicts religion when it comes to the dinosaurs. According to the bible, there is no way that the earth could have existed for tens of millions of years. Yet Dinosaur fossils are scientifically proven to be millions of years old. Another case in which science contradicts religion.
But it can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt
Ok, please prove beyond a resonable doubt that God created stuff. I'd like living proof too please, not textual references to the bible or ideologies about faith.
Ahh.. now you're not an athiest anymore, you're a partial deist. The problem with deism is that it's "the easy way out" since deists acknowledge God, but don't work to develop a relationship with Him.
Who are you to say what type of relationship God wants with people? Most people undervalue God if he does exist. It's always "God please help me out and I'll always go to church" or "God please give me this ferrari, It's what I always wanted." People grovel and plead to much with God. For that matter, who says God wants a direct relationship with us? It's all just personnal interpretation, so there is no definite right or wrong.
