I actually like it...yeah it sucks having to drive 45 mins to party with your friends, but when the weekends done I leave all the madness there. You're also not tempted to go out as much and when I walk down the street I'm not tripping over bums every 2 feet.

Jaime: maybe if Nate comes to visit... but it's more likely that I go out there. We're gonna try to get in the Victoria Electronic Music Festival next summer.

Thank you so much for the kind words though, yer awesome dude, and ALWAYS bring the party

I love being able to walk to work and TiL and Sonic and the theatre and the cinema and a million restaurants and bars and my hairdressers and beauticians and the shops and the bank and the ACC and the skydome... you get the idea.

I'd love to move to a bigger town

i actually saw a 'bum' in dundas the other day. most people looked at him as if he was from another planet. i kindly went up to him, gave him $7, and told him to hop on the go-train and go to toronto if he wants good business.

he thanked me, and told me jesus loves me.

dundas is now, once again, bum free. i thank allah.

In Grimsby the cops actually pick them up and take them to Hamilton (no joke) as well as hookers...except for Fifth Wheel truck stop, which is a safe haven for lot lizards.

45 mins out of a major city isn't that bad....

an hour and a half on the other hand can be a royal pain in the ass.

I couldnt live in a small town. I love the urban life of Mississauga, but cant live without the craziness of a busy city like Toronto.

no I was living in Los Angeles then. Otherwise I would have come out for sure when all of you came down to NYC that weekend. I was actually talking to andrew before hand saying how much I wished I was back home to see all of you when you came through.

Oh no, that was back in March.

In June was when Laura and I drove up for less than 12hrs in the city to see Ferry Corsten @ Cielo. It would have been nice to have breakfast or something though

People with beautiful gardens, kids playing in their backyards and front lawns, because they actually have them. Able to walk beside my house and have room between them, not just 2 feet. I would never want to live in a big city. Its too cold feeling. So much concrete everywhere, everything is fackin paved..

omg.. I think my parents hijacked your TA Dan. You sound EXACTLY like them right now.. lol

Posted by Yohan on Oct-14-2006 06:42:

Dan, I think you need to host another TA bbq.

OMG you actually live in Barrys Bay... I've been there once or twice on a business trip... there was all of.. nothing there lol

Posted by angelgirl on Oct-14-2006 14:08:

It is either big city or boutique town for this girl. All the stuff in between in the burbs would kill me.

ahahaha yeah, Barry's Bay sure is wikkid! I love the fact that our version of "downtown" is basically the 1/2 km on HWY 60 that has maybe 20 stores, if that! What kind of business trip would involve coming here anyways?! lol

Oh, and another word of warning: depending on what size your town is, and how far away it is from a city, the people act and speak VERY differently. In my town, the major conversations are usually about huntin', skidders (apparently it's a huge machine that hauls logs out of the forest ), and stuff like that. The thing that bothers me the most is the way people pronounce things. Here is an example:

Yah, John is gonna get dat skidder out and we gunna haul dem logs outta doze bushes? I saw tree logs on dat trail. hoooaaa dat's no good?

(They also end every sentence in a question form)

>>a song<<

Hey Necky! I must say that i am VERY glad that I am no longer living in that hick area.. finally i'm around people who speak normally :P

Hooooaaaa yah i gonna get me dat tirdy point buck. John and Andy gunna come wit me next time? Hoooaaa can't wait! We'll take ol' skipper and da pups with us too. Den make some venison yah?

I was brought up in a small town, Earlton, On, pop. 1000. I moved to T.O. 6 years ago for school and I don't think I would ever move back. I would like to move to a smaller city, or town, but nothing as small as that again.

Posted by Vivid Boy on Oct-14-2006 18:47:
