+1

-People who rush you while you're getting ready
-People who blow their nose at the dinner table
-People who chew with their mouths open
-People that don't move when you say excuse me, and just look at you, causing you to have to say it again, then possibly get rude about it.

[edit]

Oh and when some one calls you to come to where they are
and you say give me a few mins, then every 15 seconds they call you again to rush you.

omg I just went through the first couple pages of threads and realized this is the 3rd pet peeve thread started.

Probably already mentioned...but oh well...apparently we're into repetition! Hhahaha

some of my pet peeves

homeless people on the street asking for change every single night as I walk home
people blowing their noses at meal times
people horking in public places
people that do NOT cover their mouths when they cough!!!
neighbours listening to music to loud, or making a racket when I am trying to sleep
people picking food off my plate without asking
watching people count pennies
when people call me unnecessary names and make rude comments
waitin gon hold with credit card, phone or cable companies

A few regarding cell phones:

1. When eating a meal as a group or with someone and someone's phone rings, they pick it up.

2. When you're in the middle of a conversation with someone and they pick up their phone and start another conversation leaving you hanging.

3. When you're with a group of people having a conversation and when someone's phone rings, they don't get up and leave the room and proceed to have a conversation right in the middle of the room disturbing the conversation that was just taking place.

4. When people think that just because you have a cell phone that you should be available 24/7.

I hate when people do that and don't even say "excuse me" or "hold on a sec"

When people feel that they need to YELL to the people that are SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. You don't have to whisper...but geez...talk in a normal volume like everyone else.

Like do these people seriously not notice the difference in the volume of their voice??

having moved downtown, I walk much more now
so my additional pet peeves include:
- people walking in groups of like 3 or 5, taking up the entire pavement - I literally have to step off the pedestrian part to go around them
- people who stop abruptly in the middle of a road, or just around a corner, causing me to collide with them
- generally people who walk VERY slowly!

Some probably don't. It's an inner ear thing.

No! I'm little but Ian always tells me to slow down b/c I rush along. I can't tell you how many times I've lost people in crowds b/c I rush off weaving in and out of people haha. I hate walking behind people.

I drive my mom NUTS! she says I walk/run like a rabbit trying to lose it's trail or something LOL
it doesn't help that I'm late most of the time so by walking super fast I try to gain some time

any part of my mattress being exposed due to my sheets coming off
my wet hair against my back after a shower....ugh!

those are two that come to mind..

Posted by LKD on Dec-01-2008 19:50:

I was thinking about this thread yesterday while at church and the dude behind me just irked me with his mannerisms

pet peeve to mention...

People who repeat a funny line out loud to the person beside them or everyone around them in a theater or basically any gathering with an audience.

for example... the priest yesterday said something funny, idiot behind repeated it out loud instantly to his wife sitting right beside him...and laughed

like fuck...seriously...I think we're all at the same event...

that goes beyond pet peeve for me.

More along the lines of disgust IMO...

Ppl who take the elevator to 2nd floor when they're not carrying anything heavy.

Lazy. Just lazy

I know a girl who lives 550 metres from her place of work (I did it with GPS one day, hahah) and she drives there. Yep, she gets up in the morning, takes the time to warm her car up, brush it off, and drive there.

She pays for parking downtown. She is in her car for less than 30 seconds from her driveway to her parking spot.

She has no plans to stop any of this.

Truly incredible.
