LOL The track he did from summer 2005 (Sunset, I think) had the amazing, disappearing kick (or kick that was basically a high snare)

Musically, though, some of RvdB's stuff is very good (e.g. The Mystery - Fever).

pvd's 'politics of dancing 2' is crisp and clear

I'd say Andy Moor, Probspot and Anders Mikkelson (Stalker) have very clear sounding tracks.

yeah I noticed that the bassline was almost a drone, even though it sounds like it was meant to be a rolling bassline

Mirco de Govia, hell yeah.

Also, I think Steve Helstrip does a great job. Listen to The Thrillseekers - Synaesthasia for example.

Total edit: I just read a few posts about JOC. I have to agree, that sound is totally NOT clear. And yes, his productions are utter shite. There, I came out of the closet. Nothing he has made resembles Trance. I have always wondered how this guy made it into the scene.

Edit 2: If i'm correct no one has mentioned Mark Otten yet. I think he deserves to be mentioned in this thread. From 'Tranquility' to 'Crossroads'. IMO also very crisp sounding productions.

Thier No One On Earth, Zocola, Tracking Treasure Down.

Whether they are good tracks or not is irrelevant. They are very good at production.

Yeah, Deepsky's work on this album is very distinct and "crisp", though I think that has as much to do with production style as studio work.

I'll also agree on Prydz. Katana - In Silence (Txitarro Mix) strikes me the same way.

Also, I think it's worth pointing out that "crisp" doesn't always mean better. I think it's merely that crystal-clear production elements are popular to ears these days, especially after years of muffled supersaw nonsense.

That's exactly what i was thinking too.

I always thought Dr. Dre's album 2001 was brilliantly produced from start to finish and I think Prodigy's Fat of the Land really is so crisp and amazing.

Oh yeah, and Yoshimi battles the pink robots by the Flaming Lips is amazingly produced.

The crispest and clearest sounding song I've ever heard is James Holden - Lump.

I always thought Three Drives - Greece 2000 (Original Mix) was very tight in all the Frequencies of sound (The bass especially, with tight punches instead of a muddy boom). And the Mids/Highs are easily distinguishable.

Very well produced track IMO.

EDIT: It's also important to note what medium you're using to listen to these tracks with (along with how good your speaker/amp setup is).

If you're listening to any of these tracks in a compressed format (sans OGG Vorbis, FLAC or any other lossless compression) you're definately going to lose fidelity and you could be misjudging a really well produced track.
